Helena nodded. “I think you’ve achieved that today.”

“I think you’ve achieved that today, Rainha,” Juliana corrected. “Do not forget who I am.”

“Sorry, Rainha.”

“Better.” Juliana turned to Caitlin. “Caitlin watches. You don’t interfere unless I invite you to, or unless Helena uses her safe word, vermelho and I don’t hear. Caitlin, you may use the same word if there is anything that you don’t like to see. There are no adverse consequences to either of you using the safe word, either of you can stop this at any time. You both have the ultimate power in this, understood?”

“Understood,” Caitlin said from her chair. She was composed, but Helena could see just how aroused she was by this spectacle, could see the brightness in her eyes to match the flush in her cheeks, and seeing that gave Helena her own strength.

Juliana turned back to Helena. “The submissive is the true dominant, isn’t that true, Leoa?”

“It is, Rainha.”

“I agree. Time for you to discover just how true that is.” She paused. “Ajoelhe-se.”

Helena responded immediately, falling to her knees where she stood, placing her hands in her lap. She watched Juliana walk slowly over to her. Juliana’s fingertips trailed over her shoulders, then her back, then her hair, as she circled Helena. “My fierce, beautiful Leoa, so obedient. Well done. Stay there, eyes closed, until I tell you to open them.”

She heard Juliana’s footsteps walk away in the direction of the bedroom, and knew exactly what she was doing… she was going to the bag with the equipment and toys. A couple of minutes later Juliana came back, her footsteps breaking the silence of the sitting area. Helena heard the sound of some objects being moved around, though too quietly to be readily identifiable, and then the room went still again.

“Open your eyes, Leoa, and stand.”

Helena blinked slightly as she rose to her feet and looked up. As she’d suspected, Juliana had plans for the beam: a set of restraints now hung down from it, above head height.

“Stand under the restraints.”

Helena obeyed, her arms by her side. She made sure not to directly face Caitlin, stood side on instead. I want Caitlin to watch, to see me properly, she thought, but I don’t want to force Caitlin to be a constant part of it. She wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to do, but her instinct said it was and that was all she could go with at that point.

“Arms up.”

Helena raised her arms and Juliana tightened the restraints around each wrist so that Helena’s arms were stretched above her head, not painfully, simply exposed. Her weight was on her feet still, and her hands were immobilised… her body was Juliana’s entirely, and she could do nothing about it.

Juliana walked around her slowly, assessing, then stopped in front of her. The anticipation is everything, Helena thought, why did I have to teach her that? She had a silk restraint in her hand, which she tied around Helena’s waist without a word. Helena wanted to ask her what she was doing but held her tongue… she’d know soon enough.

When Juliana reached for the hem of Helena’s dress the reason became clear. She lifted the dress up to her hips and tucked it into the silk restraint. Helena hadn’t put any underwear back on, of course, because Juliana’s last instruction had been that she wear none, and she was suddenly exposed, bare from the waist down, her dress uselessly hitched up. It was more exposing than full nudity, Helena realised, and something new to her… she hadn’t taught Juliana this. She felt the air on her naked skin, cool against the arousal between her legs that had been building to a raging inferno all day, and the vulnerability of being exposed from the waist down while her arms were bound helpless above her head. She glanced over to see Caitlin watching her intently from the armchair, taking in the visual. When Caitlin saw her the tiniest hint of a supportive smile crossed her face and she mouthed, “Ok?”.

Helena nodded and breathed in deeply… the lioness, caught and displayed, a plaything for anyone who wanted her.

Then Juliana stepped back.

“Stay there,” she said. “I’m going to get us a drink.”

Helena stared at her. “What?”

“A drink. For me and Caitlin.” Juliana walked over to the kitchen as casually as if Helena wasn’t standing in the middle of the room half-naked and bound. She opened a cupboard, pulled out two glasses, then got a bottle of wine from the fridge and poured. She handed one to Caitlin, who took it with an expression that was caught between arousal and disbelief. Juliana sat on the other armchair, a couple of yards from Helena, folded her legs under her, and sipped her wine.

“You know what she taught me?” Juliana said to Caitlin conversationally, nodding at Helena. “That anticipation is more important than anything. That making someone wait, making them stand there, unable to move, unable to touch themselves, unable to do anything except feel their own body responding to the almost infinite range of possibilities of what might happen next that their mind conjures up, that’s where the real power is.” She took another sip. “She was right, of course. But then Helena is very good at this. She’s right about most things.”

“Juliana…” Helena started to say.

“I didn’t say you could speak, Leoa.” The rebuke was gentle, but firm enough that Helena instinctively obeyed. “I’m having a conversation with your girlfriend. You’re going to stand there and wait until your Rainha is ready for you.”

The minutes that followed were the longest of Helena’s life. Juliana sat in the armchair, drinking wine, talking to Caitlin about, of all things, Caitlin’s house. She asked about when she’d bought it, what she’d done with it, whether she thought she’d stay there for a long time. Caitlin answered, her voice slightly strained but playing along, her eyes flicking to Helena every few seconds, watching the woman she called Minha Dona standing bound and coming increasingly undone in front of her eyes.

And undone Helena was definitely becoming… she could feel her body responding viscerally to the wait. The helplessness, the exposure, the maddening normalcy of the conversation happening in the same room as her. Her skin was hypersensitive, the air moving across her bare legs and between them, while the fabric of her dress seemed to have been designed to tease her peaked nipples every time she moved slightly. She was getting deeply, deeply aroused and she couldn’t hide it, couldn’t cross her legs, couldn’t do anything except stand there and feel her body surrender before Juliana had even started to touch her.

“She’s getting impatient,” Juliana observed to Caitlin, glancing at Helena. “Look at her breathing. Can you see how she’s trying to control it but can’t? And watch… did you see that? How her hips are starting to shift? She’s unconsciously trying to create friction, anything to help her to deal with how much she likes you seeing her become mine.”

Helena became aware that she was doing it and stopped, her cheeks burning.
