Helena glanced at Caitlin, and saw that Caitlin wasn’t looking at where she joined to Juliana or where Juliana’s thumb claimed the final surrender from her. Caitlin was looking into her eyes, with an expression of profound affection and desire. Helena practically melted on the spot, because that look was everything. Caitlin took her hand and gave it a squeeze before she went back to her chair.

“Faster now, Leoa, don’t hold back.”

She obeyed, starting to grind faster, and the double sensation did something insane to Helena, something incredible. Her climax was building, building, her breath ragged again, her body shaking, and it hit, a long, slow wave that seemed to start in her toes and roll through her whole body, but when it reached her head it bounced back, bigger, larger, then again when it reached her toes, and she couldn’t even cry out, her body was in such ecstasy, the wave growing greater and greater each time, and she was aware that her body was clenching around Juliana’s thumb, and that was adding something more, something crazy, and then out of nowhere she felt her restraints get removed and Juliana was moving her, pushing her to her hands and knees, and she felt the thumb pull out while the strap-on slid back in, and now it was Juliana in control, Juliana setting the pace, Juliana thrusting into her, no more anal play, not now, and another orgasm hit within seconds, triggered by knowing that Caitlin was now watching her get taken and taken hard, and her arms collapsed under her and still Juliana thrust into her, and it was building again, impossibly, how can this be happening? Helena managed to think before she cried out again, her body shaking, the room spinning, and then she was on her back somehow and Juliana was on top of her, inside her, making love to her, and as she felt another impossible wave start to crest she realised that Caitlin was there, that she wasn’t looking up at Juliana any more, that Caitlin was kissing her, her magical lips playing against hers, but it was still Juliana inside her and the final wave hit, uncontrollably, and she lost all sense of where she was or what she was doing or…

…when she next knew where she was, she was lying on the bed, on her side, Caitlin lying facing her, Juliana behind her.

“What happened?” Helena asked wearily.

Caitlin grinned and kissed her. “You were magnificent, that’s what happened.” She kissed her again. “Can you do that to me sometime? It looked fun.”

Helena turned her head to see Juliana smiling behind her, those curls framing her beautiful face. “Minha Leoa,” she whispered. “Thank you. For everything.” Juliana leaned across and kissed her slowly, tenderly on the mouth. When she leaned back again she looked at Caitlin. “She’s yours now,” Juliana said simply. “Take care of her. She’s special.”

“I will,” Caitlin replied, and Helena knew that she meant it.

Helena heard Juliana get up and start to put her clothes on and then, as quickly as that, she was gone, back to the main house.

Behind her she left silence, save for the sound of Helena’s still slightly ragged breathing. Caitlin got up and opened a window, so that the sound of the ocean joined them. When she climbed back on to the bed she took off her t-shirt and pulled back the covers, helping Helena to climb in, and then pulled the sheet over both of them. She gathered Helena into her arms, and Helena’s face found Caitlin’s neck and pressed into it, feeling the steadiness, seeking shelter and safety.

“I’m here,” Caitlin whispered. “I’ll look after you.”

Helena shivered against her, not from cold or distress, simply from the realisation of the sheer magnitude of what had just happened… the intensity of the surrender, and the vulnerability of her surrender being witnessed by this magnificent force-of-nature. They held on to each other and neither of them spoke for a long time.

“You’re incredible,” Caitlin said eventually. “Every version of you. Dona. Leoa. All of it. You’re the most wonderfully, magnificently, extraordinary person I’ve ever known.”

Helena smiled against Caitlin’s skin. “That’s a lot of adjectives for this late at night.” She kissed her neck. “Stay with me.”

“I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying right here until morning.”

“I mean… please, please, please stay in my life. Let’s not do another nine months with nothing.”

Caitlin’s arms tightened around her. “There’s no chance of that.” She kissed Helena’s hair. “I’m already planning how to see you again as soon as I can.”

Helena’s last thought before sleep was not about Juliana, or her submission to her, or about the extraordinary intensity of what had happened that night.

It was about Caitlin’s arms... the steadiness of them, the strength, the fact that Caitlin was still here for her after everything she’d just seen.

That’s what I need, Helena thought. That’s what I’ve always needed.

Someone who sees both the Dona and the Leoa, and wants me even more.

Epilogue

Helena woke the next morning tangled together with Caitlin. Normally, or at least in the normal they’d had a week to work out, they fell asleep cuddled together but rolled over in their sleep. Last night apparently not… Helena suspected that after the night they’d had neither woman wanted to be parted, even for a moment.

She could hear the ocean through the curtains, rhythmic, steady, and found herself involuntarily remembering something else rhythmic and steady from the night before… not just remembering, though, but also smiling. It had been good, very good, and letting the residual vulnerability of last night come to the fore, allowing herself to revel in the memory rather than run from it, felt right. She felt different that morning: not diminished, not embarrassed, she felt lighter, as if by showing Caitlin every part of her, showing her the Leoa, she no longer had the burden of carrying a secret.

Caitlin stirred, her arms tightening reflexively, pulling Helena closer. “Morning,” she murmured, still half asleep.

“Morning.”

“How do you feel?”

Helena thought for a long moment. Her body was tired, with a deep ache that only came from the sort of intensity that last night had held. Her wrists were red, and she knew she’d need to take care of them for a few days. Inside, she felt something better.

“I feel… free,” Helena said.

“Good free?”
