Yeah, Honor didn’t buy for one second that this guy was the ‘victim’. He was setting the narrative to benefit him while Wynter couldn’t defend herself.

PERIOD.

“Hart, did she kiss him first?” she asked.

The man didn’t hesitate.

“NOPE.”

As soon as Hart said that, the man flushed red as he was caught in a pretty damning lie.

Someone had been the predator.

“We warned you that he’s a walking lie detector. Again, as a refresher, Leon, he’s staring at your aura, and he can see the subtle changes. When it gets muddy, he knows,” Bishop reiterated in case he planned on saying later he didn’t know.

Oh, he knew.

The man gave up.

“Fine. I kissed her, and we had sex in my office. She panicked and wanted birth control pills, so I got her a prescription. I can assure you that Wynter wasn’t coerced into sex. She was into it. This went on for four months, and there was no end in sight.”

Hart hated that he didn’t lie. Again, according to what the man knew, he was being honest.

When Honor looked at him, Hart shared.

“He’s telling the truth.”

He pointed at him.

“See?”

Bishop didn’t play games, and she was to the point.

“From here on out, you’re going to tell us everything, and you’re not mincing words. You’ve lied twice, and on the third one, we bring you in for questioning—officially. That’s going to entail making you do the walk of shame in handcuffs into the office across the square. Are we clear, Doctor Kenyon?”

He nodded.

“Keep going with the progression of this affair,” Bishop stated.

As he contemplated, he looked scared about the scenario that she’d just described.

So, he spilled it.

“It was too risky having sex here. Wynter was loud, and my assistant’s desk is not far from my office. I suggested a motel next time.”

Honor was curious.

“Why did you opt to continue a relationship that you knew was problematic. Oops, it happened is very different than a four-month tryst.”

He didn’t hesitate.

“Because it was the best sex either one of us ever had, and we didn’t want to stop. Wynter told me repeatedly that it fulfilled her, and she didn’t want it to end.”

Hart had bad news for the ladies. They weren’t going to like this.

“He’s not lying.”

Bishop knew what that meant.
