Clearly, Wynter had told the man that, and he believed it. This was getting uglier and uglier. It was sounding less and less like she was being forced, or tricked, and more and more like she wanted the affair.
God.
Damn.
It.
The man continued.
“That was my way of giving Wynter an out after what had happened. I was allowing her a choice in the matter. Instead of saying no, she wanted in. In fact, she made the reservations at the motel. Not me. I would show up, and we’d have sex and then go our separate ways—like yesterday.”
Bishop had so many questions.
Many she didn’t want to ask.
“Did she feel guilty?” she asked. “Because she had a husband and child at home.”
Oh, boy.
The anger in her voice was palpable, and Hart got it. She was going to have to tell Ridge, and that was going to suck. To help his friend, Hart put his hand on her back, and she calmed down.
The question was hearsay, and they all knew it. It was getting murky because the man wasn’t in Wynter’s mind at the time, so he couldn’t say for sure.
Only, he answered.
“Not that I saw. For Wynter, she told me that what was good for the goose was now good for the gander. She was angry, and that’s understandable. As a woman, her husband was finding comfort with a man. It made her feel…less than attractive.”
Well, shit.
Ridge was going to be hurt by this.
Big-time.
“I offered to kill the therapy sessions, since she was my patient. Instead of wanting that, she wanted to meet once a week for therapy, and once for sex. It was beneficial to both of us since we meshed in bed.”
Honor lifted a brow.
“What do you mean ‘meshed’?” she asked.
He didn’t hold back.
“Wynter is…was very submissive in bed, and I like a submissive woman. Our sexual needs were both fulfilled, and thus, the best sex we’d ever had. She knew what she wanted, and I wanted the same. We both looked forward to the meetup.”
Bishop was curious.
“Do you confirm that yesterday you met with Detective Littlemoon, and Wynter, and then secretly hooked up with her after?”
He nodded.
“When she came in, she asked myself and my assistant not to let on that we knew her. You were on the phone, Detective, at the time. We agreed. When you left, I didn’t get any text from her saying our ‘date’ was off.”
Hart nodded.
“He’s not lying.”
The man continued, and somehow, it kept getting worse for Bishop since she was going to have to tell Wynter’s grieving husband.
Leon wasn’t done.
