“Wendy,” Griffith interrupted with a knowing smile. “Stop freaking out. Show us.”

“Fine, fine.” She lifted up the hem of her sweatshirt and held the hem of the tee beneath it out. Nic reached forward and held the fabric, while Wendy stripped her hoodie over her head.

“Damn, why didn’t you lead with this, Wend—oh,” Grif began and halted when his gaze finally fell to the shirt she revealed.

“Is that…” Nic trailed off as he studied the design on her shirt. “You made this?”

“Tate and Arlo helped me figure out how to print it all. But yeah. It’s my design.”

“Is there more?” he asked.

Wendy nodded, spinning and gently grabbing two squares of tissue wrapped fabric and handed them to her beta and alpha.

They tore into the wrapping like kids on Christmas morning, and their excitement made her heart leap.

“Wait…” Griffith said, spinning his shirt around to find trainer in bold letters across the shoulders. “What’s this mean?”

Wendy flushed, meeting Nic’s gaze. “Well… I figured Nic would need help with all the new patrons he’ll have.”

Nic’s small smile spread into a blinding grin, and he nodded. “Yeah. I’ll need someone to train all the punks that walk in. It’d be a paid gig, of course.”

“Fuck yeah, Boss,” Grif added with a cheeky grin. He leaned over and pulled Nic in for a kiss with a hand on the back of his neck.

Wendy cleared her throat, and Grif leaned back with a grin.

“Don’t worry, you’re getting yours too,” Grif teased.

With a smile threatening to curl her lips, she met Grif halfway and brushed her lips against his. Honeyed cornbread filled her senses, and she sighed happily at the taste of him before a hand in her hair pulled her away.

She tasted Nic next, the murmured thank you against her lips almost sweeter than the kiss.

Almost.

“What else is on the table?” Grif asked innocently, and Wendy laughed into the kiss before she stood and split the wrappings between the two of them.

“I can’t believe you designed this logo.” Nic laughed with a snort. “It’s perfect.”

“I was worried it was a little… goofy,” she admitted.

“I’m a goofy person—stickers too?” he asked excitedly.

“With all the random stuff, I figured you could make little goody bags, and drop them off to your new business neighbors. There’s a locally owned smoothie bar right across the street.” Wendy hadn’t been thinking about this for weeks, not at all.

“I bet if persuaded, you could get them to designate a flavor for the gym.”

“Yeah, who doesn’t want to drink something that’ll get you All Jacked Up?” Grif asked with a chuckle.

Wendy smacked his shoulder. “It’s a great idea and you know it.”

In the haul, she’d included a shirt for each of them, Nic’s with owner spread across the back to match Grif’s trainer. There were water bottles, keychains, stickers, and magnets, basically whatever her and Tate had been able to make the logo fit on, she’d had printed.

“Aw, Wendy.” Nic chuckled and pulled her into his chest. “I love all of it. Thank you. But you don’t have to get us a bunch of surprises just to ask us something.”

Oh yeah. That.

“I know,” she groaned. “But this is… consider it, like, a courting gift.”

“That’s not your job,” Griffith interjected, one of his brows arched at her.
