"What just happened?" I asked as I turned my attention back to him. He led me over to the sidewalk between the rows of parking spots and helped me sit down.

"Someone just hit your vehicle while speeding into a parking spot," he informed me as he knelt beside me."They nearly hit you on impact, but you jumped out of the way just in time." Placing a hand on my forehead, he stared me down. "Are you hurt? Did you hit your head?" I shook my head absentmindedly in response.

"I don't think so," I reassured him. Realizing that there was no way I had ever touched the ground before I regained my awareness, I winced. "Did I run into you?" He shook his head.

"No," he informed me. "You tripped and almost fell, and I caught you." Blushing in embarrassment, I turned my attention to the scene around me.

The driver of the other car, some middle-aged woman with short, dark brown hair, was screaming at the other witnesses who had gathered around, and she was accusing me of parking wrong in the space, making it my fault she crashed into my vehicle. She kept threatening to come at me, but the other witnesses kept her at bay, several holding their phones up to record or take pictures while others were making calls. The distant wail of sirens became more and more audible, and I found that several people were making their way towards me. The man immediately stepped in the way, stopping them before they could reach me.

"She's in shock," he told them. "Let her have her space, please." Within minutes, the officers arrived, and they approached the scene.

The next hour was a blur, and I hardly remember everything that went down. EMT members approached and tried to check on me, asking for details as they checked my vital signs. I managed to tell them everything they needed to know, and they determined that I didn't need to go to the hospital. Once everything was over with, they ticketed the lady, who was still screaming it was my fault and sent her away.

When we were finally alone, the man asked me if I wanted help calling a tow truck or anything. After seeing how she practically destroyed my back axle, I realized there was no way I would be able to drive it. The sense of emotions washed over me, and I finally burst into tears, letting the panic wash over me and spill from my eyes.

"I can't afford something like this," I bawled, shaking my head as I spoke. "I still have to help my father and everything." He sighed and shook his head.

"Take it easy," he comforted me as he looked around the parking lot, trying to come up with a suggestion. "How about I give you a ride home? From there, you can figure everything out." Realizing that it was the only option I had, I nodded in agreement.

"That would be appreciated," I finally decided as I looked back up at him. "Thanks for everything." He smiled as he offered me his hand.

"Let's get what you need out of the car, and we'll call the towing company," he instructed me. "Tell them where to take the car, and I'll get you home." Once again, I nodded in response and made my way over to the vehicle to get what I needed, the shock of the entire situation still weighing me down.

CHAPTER FOUR

Paul

I felt sympathetic towards the woman, and I wanted to help her out in every way I could. After dealing with the police, I waited for her to gather her belongings. I guided her to my truck, and we were off to her home. She had given me the address and was sitting in the front seat, staring down at her personal items as we drove. After what felt like an eternity, I gave her a gentle smile.

"I like the gift bag you chose," I commented. "Is that for a birthday or something?" Seeming to snap out of her train of thought, she shook her head.

"Baby shower, actually," she replied. "A friend of mine has her baby shower coming up, so I went to get her a gift." Amazed at the strange coincidence, I nodded as I kept gazing at the road, then at her.

"Sounds like there's a lot of people who are adding to their family," I commented, trying to keep the conversation light and easy. The last thing I wanted was to overwhelm her with too much. "I suppose they gave you a gift registry." She nodded in response.

"Yes, but I didn't stick to it," she admitted sheepishly. "I got them some gender-neutral baby clothing and a baby blanket with a toy." I shrugged as I considered this.

"That's a good gift," I agreed. "With so much going on, you have to remember basics like clothes." She fell silent again, and I began to wonder if there was anything else I should say.

In all honesty, she had been through so much, but I figured she was ready to call it quits. She looked like she was about to pass out, and I figured she wanted to get home and rest. As we pulled up to the apartment complex where she lived, I put the truck into park.

"Would you like me to walk you up to your apartment?" I asked. "Make sure you get there safely." She thought for a moment before shaking her head at me.

"Thanks, but I can take it from here," she replied. "I don't want to waste any more of your time." Part of me wanted to protest, but when I saw how she was behaving, I knew better than to force the issue. Instead, I offered my hand.

"Well, it was a pleasure to meet you," I said with a gentle smile. "Let me know if you ever need anything." Handing her a piece of paper with my number, I continued. "You know… Regarding the case." At that moment, the ghost of a smile appeared on her face, and she nodded.

"Thanks for everything," she stated, looking a lot better than she had before. With that, she got out of the car and made her way inside.

Once she had made her way into the apartment complex, I put the truck in drive and set off towards my own home, lost in thought. I was still amazed at everything that happened and still had a hard time wrapping my head around it. Whatever the woman had been up to, she had nearly been hurt by the crazy driver, and I was thankful for the fact that she was safe.

I couldn't get her face out of my mind, and I hated how I had completely forgotten to ask for her number. Even though there was a high chance she would have said no, it was still worth the risk, and I couldn't believe I had overlooked it. Despite everything that had happened, I wanted to see her again.

It was probably for the better that I didn't see her again. After all she had been through, I might have ended up being a reminder of the unfortunate events that had taken place that day. The one thing I didn’t want to do was make her relive the day's events.

It was better to stick to known Littles, anyway. The Daddy/Little kink wasn't for everybody, and trying to explain it to someone was one of the most complex parts. If explained the wrong way, you could make yourself out to seem like a pedophile, which would be more trouble than it was worth.

As I pulled back up to my house, I heard my cell phone ringing and started to look for it. It took me a while, but before it stopped ringing, I was able to find my phone and check the caller ID. It was Oscar, my friend and business partner.
