EPILOGUE

Jamie

The "for sale" sign in front of my old family home had finally come down, replaced by the sold label that had dominated the haunting sign for weeks. Deep down, I was a bit depressed, especially since this was the place that I had spent my entire life up until this point, and I wanted to take it all back. However, I stood by my decision and refused to change my mind.

"Are you okay?" asked Shane as he stood by my side, wrapping his arms around me in order to pull me close. Taking a deep breath, I smiled and nodded my head as I turned to look at him.

"Yep," I reassured him as I hugged him back. "Everything is fine." He raised an eyebrow as he looked me up and down, almost as if he was trying to determine if I was lying or not. When I didn't continue any further from there, he took my left hand in his, examining the diamond ring on my hand.

"Should we go back home and spend a quiet night at home?" he asked as he nuzzled my neck, trying to comfort me. "I could always set up the fireplace." I raised an eyebrow at him as I followed him to the vehicle.

"Aren't you supposed to avoid fire at all costs when you're off the clock?" I asked, trying to joke around with him. He didn't seem amused as he helped me into the truck.

"There's a difference between controlled fires and uncontrolled fires," he breathed as he climbed into the vehicle. "I thought that you would know that by now." I whimpered as I licked my lips, wanting to feel his cock in my tiny hands.

"Yes, Daddy," I said as I lowered my gaze. "I'm sorry..." A mischievous smile spread across his face as he drove the vehicle towards the house.

"Good girl," he said as he drove. "Better behave yourself for the rest of the night, or I might have to punish you."

"Well, what is it?" I asked as I opened the door to the bathroom and walked in, not even waiting for Jamie to answer. "What did it say?" I saw the tears in her eyes as she looked up at me, looking worried as she stared at me.

In her hand was the little plastic stick that was the pregnancy test, and it had two lines on it, indicating that she was pregnant. Joy filled me, making my heart soar in my chest, and I wanted to lift her into the air and spin her around. However, when I saw the look on her face, I realized that something was wrong.

"This is good, right?" I asked as I tilted my head to the side, trying to get a better read on her reaction. She whimpered as she stared up at me.

"I don't know," she cried as tears started spilling down her cheeks. "I want to keep it, but I don't want to anger you." She rested her face against my chest as she sobbed, and I hugged her close, shaking my head as I smiled down at her.

"You won't," I reassured her as I rubbed her back, trying to calm her down. "If you want to keep the baby, then keep the baby. It won't make me love you any less, Little One." She started to calm down as she looked up at me, rubbing the tears from her eyes.

"You mean it?" she asked as she stared at me, looking helpless and vulnerable as she did so. I chuckled as I nodded my head.

"Of course," I promised. "We're a family now. You, me, and the baby...
