“Did you find her in the woods like Gyrik found Ava?” Belak asked.

“No. In the water. She and her friend jumped into the lake to escape some infected. Her friend was a strong swimmer and made it to the boat waiting for them. Arena wasn’t as strong. She waited for me to swim for her.”

I heard Arena scoff from inside the bathroom. It gave me hope that she was listening. Did that mean she would want to stay with me even though Belak saw me tasting her?

“There are other females?” Belak asked.

“Yes. At least three. Arena has not yet told me where she is from or how many others are there.”

Belak stared at the door thoughtfully. “Three is good. Do you think they will be as willing as yours?”

“Arena was not willing at first,” I admitted. “Today is the first time she allowed me to lick her pussy.”

“There are meat cans in the basement,” I said to Belak, already moving toward the bedroom. “Look slowly.”

He grunted and went downstairs while I found Arena a clean shirt. I heard him moving boxes when I returned to the hallway and knocked on the bathroom door.

It opened a crack, and Arena’s small hand emerged in the space, held out in a silent demand. Her fingers trembled. Understanding her fear of being shared, I caught them in mine and kissed her palm before placing the shirt into it.

“You are safe, Arena. I will not share or leave you. Ever.”

She pulled the shirt inside with her and closed the door again.
