Speaking of, Stella, you’ve gotta make sure I don’t do anything stupid at the wedding this weekend.”
“Don’t worry. I got you, girl.” She winks at me from across the couch.
“What kind of stupid?” Ezra asks, looking between the two of us.
“Oh, Celine is on a sex ban.”
“Yep. Taking a little dick hiatus.”
Ezra raises his eyebrows. “Oh really?”
“Yeah. Just getting bored with all the options around here.” I shrug my shoulders. It’s true. It’s
been a week since I told Stella I was taking a break, and I haven’t seen one single person on campus
that looked even remotely interesting to me. Maybe I’m going through some sort of early quarter-life
crisis or something.
“You’re so strange,” Ezra says, laughing.
“I have to be if I’m friends with you.” I poke him in the ribs. “Alright, I’ve got to get to bed. I had
to get up way too early this morning.”
“Yeah, I’m pretty beat too. I’ll walk up with you.” Ezra and I stand from the couch and say
goodnight to Ozzy and Stella before walking upstairs. We stop outside my room.
He nods his head towards the room. “You think about me while you’re in there?” he asks with a
stupid smirk on his full lips.
I roll my eyes. “You wish.”
His eyes rake over my body again before he says, “Sweet dreams, Red.” He goes into Ozzy’s old
room.
Tonight I have a feeling that I might dream about Ezra Sanders, and I’m not sure how I feel about
it.
Chapter 4
Ezra
“H ey, man. Are you wearing a tie to this thing or what?” Ozzy asks, leaning against the bedroom
doorframe. I’m just finishing buttoning my dress shirt.
“No, I wasn’t planning on wearing one tonight. Wes didn’t say to, did he?” I try wracking my
brain to remember what Wes told us about the rehearsal, but I’m pretty sure he said to just dress nice.
Ozzy runs his hands down his face. “I can’t remember. He’s told me so much shit. Weddings
should not be this damn complicated.”
