Why did he kiss me? Why did I kiss him back?
It was a hell of a kiss. Better than I ever thought it would be. Not that I’ve thought about kissing
Ezra all that much, but my mind has gone there a time or two.
But now, how are we supposed to go back to normal? His hand was on my ass. His tongue was in
my mouth.
After sending Wes and Hazel off, we ride back to the house in Ezra’s car. Stella’s car is still at the
hotel, and Ozzy rode with Ezra. Unfortunately, that means I’m also stuck riding with Ezra. Not just
riding in the car, either. I have to sit next to him in the passenger seat because obviously Stella and
Ozzy want to sit next to each other in the back.
Normally this would be totally fine, but right now, I feel like my entire body is as stiff as a board.
I don’t know how to act. Stella talks a mile a minute about the wedding, acting like nothing is wrong.
Although, of course nothing is wrong for her. Her best friend didn’t just kiss her and confuse the hell
out of her.
I haven’t told her what happened. Not yet. I need time to process it on my own before saying
anything about it to anyone.
Needless to say, no one speaks much on the drive home except for Stella. Ezra glances at me a
few times, but I do my best not to look at him.
After the longest car ride ever, we finally pull up to the house. Stella and Ozzy rush off to their
room. One guess as to what they plan to do tonight. Ezra pauses at the top of the stairs, waiting to see
if I want to talk, but I just continue to my bedroom, shutting the door behind me.
I’m an asshole.
I know he wants to talk about it, but I can’t. Not yet. Am I attracted to Ezra? Of course. What
woman wouldn’t be with his striking blue eyes and sharp facial features? And his dark hair gives him
straight-up model vibes. But sleeping with him would jeopardize everything we have. Sure he said
we could go back to being friends after the thirty days, but can we really? Would I be able to still talk
to him like a best friend if I knew what his dick looks like? I don’t know.
I change out of my dress and into my pajamas. I crack my door open to make sure no one is in the
hallway before tip-toeing to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face.
I make it back to my room without running into anyone. I notice the light to Ezra’s room is already
off. I hesitate at my doorway for a minute, wondering if I should say something to him.
