The few brothers scattered around glanced up, eyebrows raised as they saw my furious expression.

Reaching behind me, I slid my hand under my shirt and pulled out the knife Steel had custom-made for me. Like he’d promised, it fit my hand like a glove. I fucking loved it.

Light glinted off the blade as I turned my attention to the women sitting at the table in the corner of the common room.

Rita smiled and nodded towards them. “They’re all yours, Juju.”

“Found this in Roberta’s room.” Harriet tossed a burner phone onto the table. It clattered between the women, who flinched at the sound.

I didn’t acknowledge it, letting my gaze roam slowly over each woman. They looked terrified. Good.

When I finally spoke, their attention snapped to me.

“This can go two ways. You tell me the truth, and I let you go. Or you lie, and you die. Simple as that.”

I tapped my bottom lip with my blade. Their eyes followed the movement.

Dragging out a chair, I sat and placed the knife on the table in front of me. I folded my hands, maintaining eye contact. “You’d better start talking, ladies. Did you know Roberta was working for the Feds? That she brought danger to this club?”

I leaned forward slightly, lowering my voice. “You know what I’m capable of, especially when it comes to my man, this club, and my family. She fucked with all three.”

A beat of silence stretched between us.

“You’d better make the right choice.”

It was like my words had pulled a cork from a bottle. I didn’t have to spill a drop of blood; more’s the pity. I was feeling a little bloodthirsty after today.

The women talked, spilling everything they knew—which wasn’t much, but it was enough to confirm they had nothing to do with it.

But Roberta was gone.

The brothers in the common room drifted closer, listening in. I ignored the muttered fucks as I continued to question the women, focused on getting every piece of information I could.

I was nearing the end when the clubhouse doors slammed open.

And there he was. The man I loved.

He was furious—I could see it in the rigid set of his shoulders. But his fury wasn’t directed at me. He crossed the room and pulled me gently into his arms, right there in the middle of the clubhouse.

Then he kissed me long, hard, and deep.

“Fuck, Juju. I thought I was going to lose you,” he murmured against my ear. “What did you find out?”

I tipped my head back to look at him. “How do you know I found anything?”

He chuckled. “The brothers gossip more than old ladies at a church social. They’ve been blowing up my phone for the last hour with a blow-by-blow of your information gathering.”

“Oh.” I turned, narrowing my eyes at the brothers who’d listened in.

They grinned, completely unrepentant.

Shaking my head, I looked back at Glacier. “It was Roberta. Zero might be able to get something off that phone.” I nodded towards the burner sitting on the table. “She’s gone, but I’m sure you and the boys can find her. She’s not from here, so you might want to find out where she’s really from. People go back to what’s familiar.”

“Zero,” Glacier barked.

“On it, Pres.” Zero grabbed the phone from the table and disappeared.

“Full Church first thing tomorrow morning. Not just Officers; everyone, including Prospects,” Glacier ordered. “Zero should have something for us by then. Woe, Bunny, take Vera and Wanda back to their rooms. Keep them secured until I’m satisfied they had nothing to do with today.”
