Wave didn’t know how long she had been asleep by the time Marc gently shook her awake. First thing she knew was that she felt safe and well rested.
“We have landed, baby,” he said and Wave yawned. Slowly, she woke more and looked around. She was once again in Sinister’s bedroom. This was starting to become a habit. Marc chuckled. “You bonded with Jarred on the plane?”
“Yeah.”
“Did you almost crash it that time, too?”
Mutely, she shook her head.
“Good. Wouldn’t want to be a repeat performance.”
“Males.” She sighed but couldn’t help the smile spreading over her face. “Hello, bonded,” she purred and watched in fascination how Marc’s eyes flared, cheeks flushed, and his cock sprang to life.
“Fuck,” he groaned. “I should have woken you when we were still in the air.”
Wave giggled. She felt floaty and happy.
“We need to get off, baby. Can you stop drooling after my cock for a second?” When Wave lifted her brow, he groaned. “Bad choice of words.”
“Okay, okay. I’ll keep it in my pants,” she snarked, pointedly fluffing her dress.
“I’m going to get Irishen to spank you,” Marc muttered.
“Ooh, the threats.”
“Behave, bonded. Be good and I’ll eat you out until you black out,” Marc growled.
Wave immediately hopped up, slipped on her heels, and saluted Marc. “Sir, yes, sir.”
“Brat,” he said affectionately. “Now come here so I can carry you to the car.”
Wave started to object but thought better of it. If Marc carried her, she could focus on kissing whatever part of him she could reach. She skipped around the bed and jumped at him, trusting that he would catch her.
Of course he did.
Wave wrapped her legs around his waist and arms around his neck, nuzzling his throat and inhaling the smell of his skin. Marc grasped her ass with both hands and hoisted her a bit higher. Like the first time he carried her around the campus.
Wave didn’t pay attention to anything else while they made their way out of the plane and over to the car. Her entire focus was on the mark on Marc’s neck. It was deep blue, almost black, like her hair, and looked like a geometrical lace. She kept tracing it over and over with her fingertips.
“Yours looks like waves made out of spider silk,” Marc murmured. “It’s beautiful.”
For a split second, Wave stiffened, then a smile spread over her lips. She pressed her cheek over the mark.
My name is Wave.
Huh? Marc didn’t sound very eloquent and Wave gave a small laugh while he maneuvered them into the car while still keeping her in his lap. Once they were settled, she leaned in again.
Wave. My real name is Wave Stormwell.
“Really?” Marc asked, pulling her back a bit, and his eyes focused on the mark on her neck. A smug smile appeared on his face when he looked at her. “Guess I’m smarter than I thought,” he said.
“What?”
“You’ll have to wait and see.” He leaned in and kissed the lace. Your mate and Claimed know?
Of course, Wave huffed.
About you being a siren?
