“Tell Zahir to feast,” Wave called when they were almost up. Laughter followed from downstairs. Jarred led them into her room and closed the door behind them.
“Do you need anything, Claimed? Food? Water?”
Wave was ready to say no, but her stomach chose that moment to growl. “A snack would be nice.”
Jarred was out the door in a second and back almost as quickly with a massive sandwich and several bottles of water. “You’re going to need it,” he said with a grin.
Wave sat on the bed and attacked her food, while her men stared at each other. It would be more entertaining if they were all naked, but something told her she wouldn’t have to wait too long for that to happen.
“So,” Jarred broke the standoff. “How did the… telling go?”
Again, the shield from outside snapped into place, and Marc glared. “You need to be careful about that.”
Irishen snorted. “You are telling us.”
“How did it go?” Jarred repeated, while giving Wave a questioning glance.
“Fine,” she mumbled, mouth full of food.
“What do you mean?” Marc asked.
Jarred looked morose and shrugged. “When she told me, I flinched. Hard.”
Marc’s eyes rounded, but before he could say anything, Irishen spoke.
“I shielded against her. She almost tore the mate bond to shreds while I tried to get my head straight.”
Marc gave them a disbelieving stare before turning to Wave. “Really?”
She nodded and took another bite of her sandwich.
“I shielded her,” Marc said quietly.
Now it was Irishen’s and Jarred’s turn to look at Wave. She nodded again.
“Hard dome, as soon as I said the words.” She polished the rest of her food and drank half of the water in anticipation. When her mate and Claimed still kept staring at her, she gave them all a soft smile. “Safe. I felt safe.”
“So, you slept,” Jarred murmured.
“You have to be kidding me,” Marc growled. “You shielded against her? And you flinched away?”
“Marc,” Wave tried to say, but he shook his head sharply.
“No, baby. That’s not okay.” He was clearly furious on her behalf.
“Trust us, we know,” Irishen replied, still looking remorseful.
Wave decided that she’d had enough of this conversation. She got off the bed and kicked off her heels and tugged down her panties. That got everyone’s attention, but Marc was still glowering. Wave glared right back, pulled up the hem of her dress, and pointed.
“Mouth. Pussy. Now.”
That was enough to break the tension, and Irishen chuckled.
“Did you get another toy to play with, mate?”
“No,” Wave said, smiling. “He’s plenty dominant. He’s just not into pain.”
Marc cleared his throat. “I don’t mind seeing her ass turning red, but I’d rather hold her down and eat her out afterward.”
