CHAPTER

SEVENTEEN

An alarm blared in my dream.

No. Not a dream.

I opened my eyes to my dingy apartment. I reached beside me and hit the snooze button on my phone. I rubbed my eyes, trying to orient myself. Movement beside me reminded me that Nathan had spent the night. I looked over but only saw Hamburger sitting, his head tilted as he meowed at me.

I looked down. My breasts and stomach were exposed. Across the small space, I saw two wine glasses, one still half full and a pretty much empty wine bottle. That explained my fuzzy head, but it didn’t explain where Nathan was.

I got up, wrapping my robe around me. I peered into my bathroom, but it was also empty. Had he hated being here so much that he snuck out in the middle of the night?

A pit formed in my stomach. We’d had sex the night before, but it felt more like obligation than desire. My worries that I was too plain for Nathan were coming back. Images of him with Gloria, the perfect fit, played through my mind.

The sound of keys jingling outside my door pulled me from my thoughts.

“Morning, baby.” Nathan strolled in with a smile and carry-out tray of coffee with a greasy bag between them. He placed them on the coffee table. “I went and got coffee. I don’t know the area well, but I found somewhere called Rise & Grind. Kind of a dirty name if you ask me, but I figured–” I cut him off with a searing kiss. When I pulled away, he chuckled. “Okay. If I had known getting you coffee from a pornographic sounding coffee shop did it for you, I would’ve done it way back when I first met you.”

I gave him a playful push as he opened the bag. He pulled out a glazed donut and held it out to me. I leaned forward, my eyes locked on him. I took a bite of the donut still in his hand. The corner of Nathan’s mouth twitched as he breathed in audibly. Using my index finger, I wiped the corners of my mouth of the sticky sugar the donut left behind, then stuck it in my mouth and sucked.

“What are you doing?” The donut was still outstretched in Nathan’s hand.

“Eating the breakfast you so kindly brought me.”

I leaned forward again, but Nathan pulled the donut back. His eyes narrowed, and I bit my lower lip.

My fingers still felt sticky, and without thinking, I went to put them back in my mouth, but Nathan grabbed my wrist with his free hand.

“If you’re going to suck anything this morning, it had better be my cock.”

My mouth went dry, and my eyes widened at the words. Nathan dropped the donut on the table before tugging at the sash on my robe, causing it to fall open. The cool air felt good against my hot skin.

Nathan gripped my chin and looked into my eyes. “Lose the robe and get on the bed.”

The way he commanded me was an aphrodisiac in itself. I let the robe slip from my shoulders before slowly backing up to the bed. Nathan followed, unbuttoning his shirt as he did. Nathan pushed me back on the bed, then crouched, pushing my thighs apart. He cupped my sex, and I hissed, my back arching already sensitive and incredibly wet.

“Your tits look so good when you arch your back like that,” Nathan said as he continued to explore my opening.

He moved his hands, running them over my waist and up my stomach before cupping my breasts. He squeezed them, then flicked a nipple, sending a ripple of pleasure through my body.

“Yes!” I panted as he continued to play with my nipples.

He moved his hands from my breasts, tracing a finger along my collarbone, leaving gooseflesh in its wake. Every touch felt electric and made me crave him between my legs more and more.

His lips grazed over my neck, and I shivered.

“Nathan.”

Gentle kisses peppered from my neck down my breasts until he took one nipple in his mouth.

“Ah!” My fingers tangled in his hair as he nipped and sucked, the sensation shooting right to my core.

He licked down my stomach until his face was between my legs. At that point, I was breathing so heavily that I was sure they could hear me in the restaurant downstairs.

Nathan took my legs and wrapped them around his shoulders.

“Baby?”
