“Yeah.”

“Well, it’s really big.” If she’d twirled her hair, she’d have nailed the innocent act.

“You don’t say.”

“Uh huh. Big and cold.”

In July? Not likely but he would play along. “Do you need another blanket?”

“I have a better idea.” She leaned over and whispered in his ear. “Body heat.”

His cock twitched. “I’ve heard that works. But what about work tomorrow?”

The pout that crossed her pink lips tugged at his gut. But he couldn’t be that guy. Not with how dangerous their jobs were. He glanced at his watch. It really was getting late.

She curled into his chest and coiled around him. “I only need about six hours of sleep.”

His brow arched. “Really? This gives me more than enough time to warm you up. I only have one problem.”

“What’s that?”

“It’s too far away. My bed’s closer.” His mouth descended. The returning kiss was packed with promise and passion.

“I like the way you think.” She slipped off the couch and held out her hand.

He looked from her hand to her eyes. Lust stared back, no doubt or hesitation. He intertwined his fingers with hers and followed her down the hall.

Trey admired her confident stride. The lightness in her step, to the playful sway of her hips, to her sassy hair toss. Amy Larson was a woman fully confident in her womanhood. That was a total turn-on.

Inside the bedroom, she dropped his hand and spun to face him. Her eyes sparkled with want that reflected in his. “I’m glad you dropped the chivalrous bit. I couldn’t keep up the helpless female act much longer.”

He laughed. “You had—”

She put a finger to his lips. “No talk. I’m not into talk.”

She grabbed the hem of her shirt and pulled it over her head, letting it drop to the floor.

His Adam’s apple bobbed, and he nodded. “No talk. Got it.”

He reached back and fisted the back of his shirt, pulling it off in one smooth motion.

Her eyes locked on his chest. “Damn, you’re ripped.”

“Thank you.”

Her gaze flew to his face. “Shit, did I say that out loud?”

“Yup.” He chuckled. “You’re pretty built yourself.”

The pink that worked up her chest to her neck was sexy as hell.

“No talk, remember?”

“Got it.” He tugged her closer. The fabric of her bra brushed his nipples. With light caresses, he let his hands skim up her arms, chasing tiny goosebumps as they went. “Cold?”

She shook her head and mirrored his movements. Her fingers traced the corded muscles of his forearms. “You have the best arms. It’s like tree branches, strong and solid. I could climb you like a tall oak.” Her hot palms traveled up his bicep and stopped at the scar on his shoulder. “This had to hurt.”

As natural as breathing, she leaned in and pressed a kiss to the puckered skin. It felt amazing. She could put her lips on him anytime.
