“Of course!” Evan put a hand on my arm. “Sorry, I didn’t mean for it to come out like that, but you just spit it out like that.”

“Well technically I didn’t spit it out, I swallowed.”

“Jesus, dude!”

“Sorry, I was just trying to make you laugh.”

“You succeeded.” He paused for a few seconds. “It was really just that easy for you to accept?”

I shrugged. “It helps that I’ve known Zach forever. And I’ve had a few other things happen lately that got me thinking about it.”

“So you’re gay?”

I had to smile. Everyone seemed so obsessed with labels. “I think so, but it’s not really the term that matters to me. I’m with Zach and that’s what I care about.”

“Huh.”

“Everything alright with you?”

He shook his head. “Don’t ask. It’s complicated.”

“Complicated fun or complicated headache?”

“A bit of both, but I think I need some more time to think on my own before I get into it with anyone.”

“No worries, man. I’ll be around if you need someone to talk to.”

“Thanks. You want to hit the gym?”

“Yeah, let me just grab my stuff.”

Zach wasn’t there when I got to our room, so I fired off a text. Then I realized that it looked very possessive and needy to ask where he was. I hoped he wouldn’t see it that way.

Zach: I got some breakfast.

Zach: At the library now, starting prep for finals.

I didn’t really know why, but for some reason, I felt better just knowing where he was.

“You gonna shower here or back at the frat?”

I considered Evan’s question for a few seconds.

“Nevermind, I know the answer. I’ve seen your shower. Now that you’re with Zach, I’m assuming I’ll be seeing you a lot less?”

“Hey, we just started dating and I’m here with you, aren’t I?”

“True.”

“I can shower here. It’s not gonna kill me.”

I had showered with Evan before – the whole soccer team too – and even now, despite his muscles, I wasn’t aroused. Surely, if he started touching me, I’d react, but just the sight of him wasn’t enough for my dick to harden.

“What is it? You’re staring.”

“Sorry.” I smiled.

“I guess I really don’t do it for you then.” Evan motioned with his chin.
