“A few weeks, not long.” Am I agreeing to this? It’s insane, right? To carry his baby, that’s the definition of crazy.

He lets out an angry growl. My killer boyfriend wants a baby. A baby with me, and damn if that doesn’t make me stupidly giddy.

“I have an appointment to go back the second of the month to get my next birth control shot at the clinic.”

“That’s perfect. It’s the fifteenth.” Pure joy plays across his face.

Gasping, I scramble off his lap searching for a calendar. Shoving things around, I dig through the contents of the nightstand. That’s where people put calendars right?

“What are you looking for?”

“A calendar. You took my phone. I haven’t had a calendar, and with everything so insane right now, I don’t know the date. Shoot.” I stomp my foot for being so irresponsible then wince remembering the cut. My eyes screw shut, and I can’t block out that voice anymore. He screams in my head how I’m an idiot messing everything up. I’ve had sex with Keeper and his brothers, unprotected and often. I could be pregnant. Letting out a breath, I throw myself back on Keeper’s bed and slam my hands over my face. I’m terrified the guys will be angry about having a baby. What if they fight and I make everything worse for everyone?

“Kitten, you are grinding your teeth. Take a deep breath and talk with me.”

“You want a baby; I think with me. And I could be pregnant already with your brother’s or Zeke’s baby. Will you hate me if that happens?” If he does, I won’t survive it. Broken body and abuse by Chad will be nothing compared to losing Keeper. The realization that this is not going to end well hits me. They aren’t going to agree with this. Keeper and Calum punched each other the other morning over the last pancake, and Zeke said it was normal.

“I haven’t been clear with you, and that’s my fault, I’ll do better.” As if I could be any more confused about this conversation, Keeper picks me up, throws me over his shoulder, and yells, “Calum, Zeke, team meeting. Now!” while carrying me down the hallway.

Chapter Twenty-Six

CALUM

Keeper’s voice rings out in the hallway, and I stride out of my room to see where he’s headed. He walks into the office, ushering Georgie in before him.

“What’s the word, Keeper? We find the fucker?” I assume we’re meeting with Georgie because we have a lead. Zee walks in next and takes a seat in the chair in front of Keeper’s desk. We all use the office. Large mahogany desks face each other, one is Keep’s, the other is mine, but I never sit there, and Zee does most of his work in the office in his room with all his computer screens. When we meet here, Keep sits behind his desk, and Zee sits at mine, while I lounge in the oversized leather chair.

Today Keeper is in his chair behind the desk. He dropped Georgie in the chair next to mine. Zee stands to the left leaning against the bookshelf on the wall. I turn to my older brother for an answer. He looks happy as fuck so I know something is up.

“Georgie is having my baby.”

The breath leaves my lungs, and my heart dries up. I can’t look at my brother or the girl I’d give my last breath for. I meet Zeke’s cold black-eyed glare.

“So that’s it then, you made your choice and it’s Keeper?” Zeke asks with a dead stare on Keeper. I’ve seen this look on Zee at jobs. He wants to hurt someone. Make them bleed, so he can feel their life slip away the moment it’s gone. He is going to kill Keeper, and I might let him.

“What?” Georgie’s confusion gives me a pause on considering how I’m going to murder my brother.

“Are you choosing Keeper?” Zeke asks again, and I think Georgie suppresses a chill at the intensity of his voice.

“Keeper, explain,” I demand.

Georgie seems to be at a loss for words. I know Zeke, he’s ultra-calm, which means he’s about to spread violence. We spit shook, so he won’t kill Georgie, but we might need to remind of that before he makes someone bleed.

“I want a baby. Georgie’s not on birth control. The first baby is mine.”

“First baby?” Zeke’s gaze drops to her stomach, and Georgie’s face falls in fear.

“I’m sorry. I thought I was up to date on my birth control shot. We haven’t used any other protection. I didn’t mean for that to happen. It’s only been a short while, so it’s unlikely there is a baby.” She puts a hand on her stomach then quickly moves it when she realizes what she did.

“Are you mad?”

She directs that question to me.

“So it’s Keeper? Things are ending between us?”

She looks hurt. Well, I feel the same. Georgie comes and sits on my lap and kisses my forehead before speaking. “No, of course I don’t want things to end between us. I know it’s weird and a little selfish, but I want all of you. I love you, Calum.”

Blowing out a breath of relief, I bow my head into her neck. Like a creep, I sniff her coconut shampoo, unsure when we got more of her brand. I’m sure Keeper bought it for her.
