Hang on, what is going on? Then they both take out their phones and swap them over.
“So, Jackson, do you like music?” Tinkerbell asks.
My heart is hammering, all my instincts scream trap. “Yeah, I do,” I answer warily.
“Do you like Love Hangover or When a man loves a woman?” she asks innocently. Ha she is as innocent as Eve in the fucking garden of Eden.
I remember then. Our first text conversation was all about music and I mentioned both those songs. I look up and then grab my phone to check.
“You know, don’t you,” I say resigned to having fucked this up completely.
Tinkerbell is laughing outright now. Taylor leans in and kisses her cheek.
“I’ll leave you to it.,” She then turns to me. “Catch you later Jackson,” she says, and I nod.
I can’t believe I’ve been played like this and for a second, I’m angry and then I remember who started this and realise this is all my own doing. I don’t know what to do. Then I do. Tinkerbell is looking at me with her head tilted.
“I’m sorry, I’m a total douchebag. Can you forgive me?” I ask and hold my hands out in a prayer position with a big puppy dog eyes look.
“Well, I don’t know. You did lie to me and I don’t like playing games,” she says with a stern look that is as sexy as fuck.
“Pretty please, I’ll even sit on the grass,” I say teasing. I see her mouth twitch and I know she is relenting.
“Well there might be a way?” she says.
“Anything,” I say a little too hastily.
“Well maybe if you get a henna tattoo I might be persuaded.”
“Done!” I say completely forgetting what happened last time.
“Annnnd.”
“Yes?” I say impatiently.
“Maybe if you show me that sexy V abs thing you have going on,” she says and before she can change her mind I have thrown some notes on the table and I pull her towards me as she is giggling.
Now I can show her the real Jackson.
