“I have to be honest, I thought that’s what we were going to do on date three.”

“Suit yourself,” I said as I reached for the door handle. “Date three it is.”

To my surprise, he didn’t try to stop me. He just came around, opened the door for me and walked me to my door.

“This is where I say goodnight.” Was he kidding me? Hadn’t this entire night been foreplay? Yep, Ty was a tease.

Feeling dejected and sexually frustrated, I said in a surly voice, “Good night.”

He smiled and titled my head up to his. “You’re upset with me?”

I didn’t want to meet his eyes, but he forced me to. “Don’t be angry,” he said, before he lowered his head back to mine. He kissed me, parting my lips with his own, allowing his tongue to taste me, before deepening the kiss by opening my lips wider.

I moaned, and he responded by resting my hips against his own. I could feel his erection pressed up against my thigh and I reached down and pressed my hand against it. His breath caught, and he placed a hand over my own and showed me with his hand how he wanted me to grip him, touch him.

I did as he wanted, and he groaned as he pulled his lips away from mine and began kissing my ears, then my neck and finally my collar bone. The slow methodical kisses were making me wet and finally, when he brought a hand up to touch my breast, I purred his name.

He brought his mouth back to mine then and kissed me gently as he played with my nipple through my top. All I could think of was how good he would feel against me. How warm his naked skin would be on top of mine. How his shaft would feel inside of me. I wanted Ty badly. And just as I was about to voice my need, he abruptly stopped kissing my lips and dropped his hand from my breast. He pressed his forehead against mine and took a shaky breath.

“You’re making this very, very hard—”

“No kidding,” I said stroking his member again through his pants.

He laughed. “That’s not what I was talking about. All I can think of are your neon pink panties right now.”

“I’m wearing black panties tonight. A thong.”

He groaned, planted another kiss on my mouth, this one hard, and said, “We’ll have to continue this conversation another night. Can I see you again next weekend if not sooner?”

Was he really leaving me hot and bothered?

“Sure,” I grumbled.

“I’ll call you.”

He placed a chaste kiss on my forehead and made his way back to his car. Puzzled, I opened my door, slammed it shut, and flopped down on the couch.

What was that about?

Chapter Six

“So how was your date?” Dana asked sitting down across from me. She looked slimmer and strangely refreshed. I was surprised, apparently stomach flu could do wonders. She smiled at me brilliantly. Dana wasn’t the type to smile just because.

“What are you smiling about?”

“I have to have a reason to smile?”

“You’re not the smiling type.”

She narrowed her eyes at me and I couldn’t help but laugh. “You know what I mean.”

“Fine. You got me. I’m smiling because after what feels like forever being up to my neck in sick kids, I’m finally feeling better. I’m smiling because I survived what felt like the plague.” She then beamed at me. “And I’m ten pounds lighter without having even tried.”

“Nice.” I knew Dana had struggled to lose weight after the twins and so she was still carrying around an extra twenty pounds or so. She had tried a ton of diets and always worked out when she could, but the weight was being stubborn. To be honest, the extra weight looked good on her, and it was primarily concentrated in her boobs and hips, but I knew she wanted her pre-twins body back, no matter how impossible that was.

“Exactly. I’m definitely going to order cake for dessert to reward myself for a job well done. I feel like I’ve had nothing but soup and Gatorade for the past week.”

“You deserve cake for surviving that.”
