The man was a fucking fool.

Vincent looked straight at him, and Venom smiled. He had a gun in his hand, and as Vincent reached for his, it was too late. Venom fired, taking out his leg. He had spent many summers learning how to shoot, so he didn’t miss. In all of Venom’s life, he had never missed.

Vincent cried out, reached for his gun, and Venom fired again, this time taking out several fingers. Vincent Karamazov writhed on the floor in agony from two gunshot wounds, and Venom stood over him.

“Bastard,” Vincent said.

Venom looked at him. “Your biggest mistake was coming to Dwellers Point.” He took aim and fired another shot into the man’s stomach.

“Your second mistake was using one of the club whores to lure Bolt out of the clubhouse, and then getting to my woman.” He shot into the man’s other hand, as Vincent had put his hands on either side of his head.

“And your biggest mistake was allowing them to go after my woman, and I also know what you’ve done to fucking dogs and cats, you piece of shit.” He crouched down. “Do you think I am going to let this be easy for you? Let you die quickly? I’ve got to wait for my woman to wake up from the hospital, and she is not going to wake up for a long fucking time, and that pisses me off. For as long as she is asleep, guess what? You’re going to stay alive.”

“You’re sure about that?” Bolt asked.

“I need to have some closure and the only way to do that is by keeping him alive, and allowing him to slowly rot.”

Bolt winced. “You’ve pissed him off.”

Vincent tried to crawl away, and Venom shot him twice more in both ass cheeks. He was pissed off. Morwenna was still in a coma. This man had caused so much pain, so much chaos, killed so many. He relished seeing other people’s pain, and this was going to be the last of it. There was no way he was going to allow him to just die. That would be too kind.

And Venom was not a kind person.

Chapter Twenty-One

Morwenna took a deep breath and then another, opening her eyes and seeing the bright white of a ceiling. Some sounds were a little fuzzy in the distance, but she opened her eyes and closed them again.

As she did, all the memory of what happened came back. The attacks, getting Bolt to the hospital, telling him she would always love him, but she wasn’t in love with him. Being attacked outside of the hospital, the car crash, the wound to her stomach, which she just felt with her hand.

“You’re awake,” Bolt said.

“Yay,” Kyle said.

Morwenna turned to see Bolt, his three kids, as well as Storm and her mother in her hospital room. The next hour went by so fast as the doctors came in and checked her vitals, and with each passing second, she started to feel better.

Only, there was no Venom. She didn’t know if she had imagined it, or if Venom really had come to get her, kissed her, and told her he loved her. Had she dreamt that? All she knew for sure was that she was awake, and he was not at the hospital, where he was supposed to be.

Bolt hugged her, as did all his kids, then Storm, and finally her mother.

King was at the door, and it wasn’t long before Maverick turned up and several of the club women as well as the men. They all came in and hugged her, but none of them were Venom.

She was allowed to be left, as the doctors got to work releasing her from some of the machines, and she was able to use the bathroom by herself. Her legs were a little like jelly, but her mother was there, helping her. Her father arrived, and he hugged her tightly.

The doctors wanted to keep her in for observation, but the few hours she had been awake, she hated her time at the hospital.

And then, just as she came out of the bathroom, her room was empty, and it was like all of her wishing and dreaming had finally brought Venom right to her.

She looked at him, and she didn’t know quite what had happened, as he pulled her into his arms and she pressed her face against his neck.

“You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for you,” he said.

“How long was I out?” Morwenna asked.

“Three months,” he said.

“It’s March now.”

“March!” Morwenna pulled back and looked at him. “Three months?” She looked at his face and saw he had lost weight. “You’ve not been eating properly.”
