“I love your food, and no one else’s food is good enough. Not even your mother’s.”

“My mother’s?”

“Yeah, she has tried to feed me.” He wrinkled his nose. “Nothing is as good as your food.”

Morwenna laughed.

“I lied to you,” Venom said, and Morwenna felt her stomach flip. “There was no bet. There was no exchange of money. Well, I paid Diesel to send me the texts, but they were not real. He didn’t want to do it, and I thought I was doing everything to keep you safe. That is what I was doing. I was trying to keep you safe, and I’m a fucking idiot, and I know I messed up, but I love you, Morwenna. I love you more than anything in the world, and I want you to be my wife.”

“Your wife?” she asked.

“Yeah.”

“But I’m married to Bolt.”

“He signed the papers and worked with your lawyer to clear everything. You’re a free woman, or you are until you marry me. I know I’ve got a lot to make up for.”

She grabbed his face, pulled him down, and kissed him. “Shut up.”

He sunk his fingers into her hair, kissed her, and Morwenna felt like her toes were curling. This is what she had been wanting for so long. She knew why he had done what he did. The threat of the Karamazov was real.

Suddenly, she pulled away. “What about the Karamazov?” she asked.

“They’re not a problem anymore. In fact, I think someone might be happy that you’ve finally woken up,” Venom said.

This made her frown. “Let’s just say, you being awake can finally grant him some peace.”

She was so confused but rather than ruin this moment, she instead cupped his face and pulled him in for another kiss, as they had so many to make up for.

Three Days Later

Morwenna looked down at her bouquet of roses.

“Are you having second thoughts?” Bolt said, coming into the bride’s room of the church.

“No,” she said.

“If you are, just say the word and I have the getaway car.”

Bolt was her man of honor. He was the only friend she had ever had. It was strange asking him to be her man of honor, but he accepted. They were never going to stop being friends.

He needed all the help he could get as his three kids were constantly running rings around him, and the poor guy didn’t know if he was coming or going. It was cute and laughable, but cuter than anything else.

Venom didn’t mind that she wanted him to be man of honor. Maverick was Venom’s best man.

She was finally getting the wedding she had wanted. Bolt had wanted their wedding at the club, and that was how it had happened. Quickly, without any input from her. One moment she was Morwenna Graves, and the next, Morwenna Richards.

Venom’s real name was William Reilly. She was going to be Morwenna Reilly.

Another shock was how happy her parents were and how much they liked Venom.

Even though he was called William, she was happy to know him as Venom, his club name.

Her parents were not changing their names back. For over twenty-six years, they had been Gus and Willow Graves, and that was how they were going to stay.

Since waking up from her coma, she had been told that the Karamazov and all people associated with them were being hunted. Venom was able to find the link, and the Romano had the people to find those responsible.
