What if it’s Diana?
That stirred a whole other feeling low in her abdomen as she indulged in the fantasy. God, she was really overthinking this.
You could just open the damn door and see.
She scrambled to her feet on wobbly legs, threw on the white, complimentary dressing gown hanging on the back of the door, and blew out a breath. The door edged open, and her excitement and nervous energy sucked out of the gap like a gust of wind.
There was no one there.
She leaned her head out, catching a glimpse of legs disappearing out of sight.
“Hello?” she called out, clutching the robe closed over her chest.
A few seconds later, someone rounded the corner, and her heart fluttered.
“I thought you were sleeping,” Diana said, her shoes clacking on the stone. Her blonde hair flicked out around her temples, over-tousled. In the darkness, her eyes shone like the midnight sky, sparkling with a familiar gleam Faye recognised after that night at the bar. Has she been drinking?
The thought flew out of her mind as Diana’s attention was drawn behind Faye, through the wide-open door, to her bag of sex toys on the bed.
Oh my god. Her cheeks flushed pink, and she tried to block the view with her body, but Diana gripped her waist.
A teasing smile ticked up her mouth. “I thought you were sleeping…but you weren’t, were you?”
Faye swallowed as Diana’s other hand found the fold of her dressing gown, and she walked her inside the cabin. The heat from her face spread down into her navel, low and thick, burning hot. She could barely breathe.
She wet her lips. “No, I wasn’t.”
“No?” Diana traced a nail down her chest, parting the material of the gown to reveal more pale skin.
Faye gasped as she brushed a finger down her sternum, leaving blazing heat in its wake. A ping of pleasure struck her clit.
“Then what were you doing?” Diana angled her head, soaking in Faye’s bare skin, her plump lips inches away.
The sound of Faye’s breathing was too loud, but she couldn’t help it. “Thinking about you.”
Diana’s eyes snapped up, pinning Faye with a new hunger. One that made her clit ache and beg for attention.
She asked, a little breathless, “Have you been drinking?”
“I might have enjoyed a glass or two.” Diana gave a light shrug, her eyes never leaving hers. “But that’s not why I’m here.”
“Then why are you here?”
In a swift movement, Diana seized the folds of her dressing gown, walking her back to the bed until her thighs touched the mattress. She held her there, Faye’s chest heaving underneath her hands. Then her lips captured hers.
Faye gasped into her mouth, tasting a sweet hint of alcohol. Diana held her firm, kissing her slow and deep. Almost as though she was giving her the opportunity to push her away. When she didn’t, her lips grew more desperate, more possessive, mixing harder kisses and nipping at her bottom lip. Faye gripped her waist, loving the feeling of her hips, and pulled her closer. She groaned as Diana’s tongue slipped into her mouth, tightening her hold as hot, silky need rolled and curled in the depths of her belly. She moved against her, her clit pounding, magnetised by the woman’s every move.
Diana tugged her forward by her dressing gown. “Can I take this off?” she asked, her breath tickling Faye’s cheek.
Faye thought it would’ve been a hard decision. That her mind would jump in, firing flares and alarm bells. But in a split second, as easy as breathing, she nodded, letting Diana slip the dressing gown from her shoulders.
An appreciative hum left Diana’s throat as she drank Faye in, eyes flickering. Lingering. Assessing.
Faye’s breathing turned shallow, her pulse firing loud in her ears with anticipation. But she didn’t hide. The adrenaline firing through her system was solely focused on the woman in front of her. She just wanted to be buoyed in this feeling, to keep Diana looking at her like that.
Like she was the only person in the world who mattered.
Am I dreaming?
