Did I come so hard I knocked myself unconscious?
If she was dreaming, she didn’t ever want to wake up.
Diana’s gaze swept over her in open approval. “Beautiful.”
The word left her mouth in a soft whisper but packed a punch to Faye’s gut. The way she said it like a fact. Like it couldn’t be taken back.
Diana kissed her again, and Faye clung to her dress, trying to pull her closer. She broke away too soon but remained holding Faye’s waist, hands firm, like she owned it.
“We’ll start slow.” She leaned down to place a kiss on Faye’s neck.
But Faye didn’t want slow. The last six months had all been building to this moment, and it had peaked overnight. She didn’t want to wait any longer.
“I’m not fragile.”
Diana didn’t break stride, her breath tickling her skin. Her sharp tone contradicted the softness of her touch. “Everyone has limits, Faye. We’re going to start slow. No exceptions.”
Well, fuck.
Diana kissed her neck again, shutting her up. Then she drifted lower, to her shoulder blade, lips soft but firm. Her collarbone. Neck. Jaw. Despite her commanding mouth, her touch was curious, gentle, as her hands skimmed Faye’s hips.
She cupped Faye’s breasts, pinching her nipples just enough to make her moan. Her whole body fizzed with Diana’s caress, every part aching to feel the softness of her lips. All she could do was remain there at Diana’s mercy as she glided to stand behind her, hands steady on her waist, leaving a trail of fire.
If she hadn’t already come, she’d be in trouble.
“I want you to tell me what you like. What you want,” Diana said. “If anything hurts or makes you uncomfortable. Communication is very important to me.” Her lips found Faye’s back, soft, teasing, before her teeth sank into her flesh. Faye groaned, her head tipping back.
“Too much?”
“No. I like it.”
Diana hummed, caressing Faye’s jaw before tilting her head to expose her neck. “What about here?”
“I really like it,” Faye said, her whisper somehow still too loud for the room. The pressure of Diana’s finger vibrated underneath her voice box, then Diana replaced it with her mouth, and Faye groaned, slick wet heat slipping between her thighs when she sucked hard at the sensitive skin.
God, she needed this. She needed this more than she dared to admit. Could she really say what she wanted? Was it that simple?
She swallowed hard, turning so she could look into Diana’s eyes. “You wanna know what I really want?” She waited, letting their heavy breathing fill the silence. “What I want is you. Now. Here. No more waiting.”
A beat passed before Diana’s lips curled into a gorgeous half-smile, and she closed the gap between them. Her mouth commanded Faye’s, hot and forceful, as they sank onto the mattress, making Faye’s stomach dip and dive.
She happily let Diana guide her to the headboard. When Diana leaned over her, holding back her full weight, Faye tried to grind their pelvises together; the ache so strong, it was painful. She wanted to feel all of her. Taste all of her. But she wasn’t calling the shots. She could hardly stand the distance between them as she squirmed underneath her.
She wasn’t going to last five minutes.
Diana pulled back with a playful tsk. “Do you not remember what I said?”
Faye wrapped her legs around her, hooking her in place. “Sorry.” She let out a soft, breathy laugh. “But have you seen yourself?”
“Have you seen you?”
Faye had to look away. “You can hardly compare the two of us.” She caught sight of her black underwear, holding everything in place. “You’re an absolute goddess, and I’m just—”
“Stop comparing yourself to other people.”
Diana was right; she was seriously killing the mood. They hadn’t kissed for thirty seconds, and it was thirty seconds too long. She could self-deprecate another time.
“You’re incredibly smart, Faye. Beautiful. Strong. Don’t wish that away.”
