His control snapped. With a growl, he lifted my hips and eased me onto his cock in one slow, brutal slide. Dante filled me so well it burned, and I relished the sting.

Then, Luca rubbed his thumb over my clit, grinning at me when I gasped. “You can handle it.”

I could. Barely.

Matteo kissed me, one hand on my jaw, as Dante’s pace quickened, his restraint fraying with every tilt of my hips. Luca worked my clit with a feverish intensity. Pleasure built too fast, too hot. I moaned into Matteo’s mouth and came around Dante, my body clamping down hard enough that he cursed against my shoulder and followed me over, his arms locking around me as he buried himself to the hilt with a shudder. We stayed that way for several breaths, tangled and slick, until my heartbeat steadied.

Matteo eased me off of Dante and guided me to my feet.

“Please.” I gripped Matteo’s shoulders. “Put me out of my misery, Matteo.” I’d just been thoroughly fucked, but I was far from done.

His low chuckle vibrated his shoulders, and he kissed the inside of my thigh before lifting me into his arms. My legs went around his waist, and his cock pressed into my entrance as he held me aloft. I wiggled, but he held my ass in both hands, keeping my fulfillment just out of reach. His lips closed over my breast, and my hands flew to his hair. “Fuck, Matteo.”

“Is that an order?” His eyes held a glimmer of mischief as he lowered me onto his shaft inch by inch.

That was Matteo through and through. He watched my face with every inch he gave me, his jaw tight and eyes boring into mine. My chest ached at the intensity crackling between us, but I didn’t let it scare me. Instead, I rode him. I let him see and hear how much he made me feel. I would let them do this to me every day for the rest of my life if I could justify the danger just because I loved them.

We couldn’t stay in Chicago any longer. It had taken me half the night to explain myself to Nina, which was not something I’d ever done before. If it had been anyone else, I would have ordered the move and said fuck you to anyone who argued.

Not Nina. She deserved the truth, and once I’d laid out all the facts, including the fact that it was only a matter of time before Viktor came for us here because he knew Sofia was in the states and he had more men here than we did, she agreed.

We were packed and ready by dawn. I’d destroyed all our phones myself, programed and distributed new ones, and ensured that Sofia and Nina would not suffer for any failure on my part.

Dante swept the cars for the third time, making sure no trackers had slipped through his first two examinations.

I stood beside the armored SUV as Luca tossed Sofia’s purple suitcase into the back. Sofia stood on the step with her rabbit and book. Her mouth pressed into a stubborn line. “I don’t want to go to Italy today.” She’d woken up in a rare form of caution that caused her to question everything on a continuous loop.

Luca crouched in front of her. “Italy has excellent pasta.”

“We have pasta here.” Her frown deepened. “And a nice house.”

“Would you like to see the house you’ll be staying at in Italy?” Luca reached for his phone, remembered the new one had nothing he could show her, and sighed. “It is an amazing house. Almost like a castle.”

That got her attention, snagging her curious nature and bringing her closer to the SUV. “Can I go to school in Italy?”

Dante stopped midway through checking the rear tire, his expression shuttering. Nina’s hand paused on the SUV door, and she looked at me for help.

I opened the door and held out my hand to Sofia. “Not right away, but soon.”

“Why?” She gripped my fingers and climbed into the seat, letting Nina buckle her in without an argument.

Because she was too vulnerable outside the villa’s walls. Because her name had been written in blood by a madman who was becoming more unhinged every day based on the reports my men managed to gather. “Because we need to make everything safe first.”

“Dante checks everything. He’ll make it safe.” She said it with such certainty that Dante’s shoulders straightened.

We all knew the weight of responsibility we carried. We did not need to discuss it to understand we all felt the same way.

Nina and Sofia’s safety came first. No matter what.

I nodded and patted Sofia’s knee. “Yes, Dante makes everything safe. He’s done it here, and he will do the same in Italy.”

She sighed like I had ruined her life, which was a bit dramatic put on point for our daughter. “Fine. But they better have good pancakes too.”

“The best pancakes.” Luca climbed into the seat behind Sofia and flicked the bunny’s ears back and forth. “Wait until you taste Rosa’s pastries.”
