Noah shuddered out a moan against my lips and my confidence soared. His hand shot down to mine, taking it and sliding it lower in one swift motion until I was pressing firmly against his erection.

We broke for air and he pulled back slightly, forehead resting on mine, eyes angling downward into my soul.

“Is this what you want to touch?” he rasped.

My heart hammered in my chest, a steady beating that I was sure could be heard for miles. Could he tell how badly I wanted him, too?

“Do you feel what you’ve done to me?” he growled, cupping his hand over the back of my knuckles so that I was forced to grip him tighter. “Do you feel how hard my cock is for you?”

I stared up into Noah’s eyes, awestruck. The fact that I was able to do this to him, bring him to this level of arousal, left me feeling unstoppable.

I was a goddess. Claiming what was mine.

Noah’s hand travelled down the paper thin material covering me, lower and lower until his fingers grazed my exposed thigh. “Don’t get shy on me now.”

I quivered. What I would give for him to touch me…there. Heat pooled between my legs.

I edged my thighs slightly apart, making space for those fingers of his to travel further, if he dared.

His eyebrows rose swiftly, and I knew I caught him by surprise. His eyes sought mine for confirmation.

I leaned forward, and whispered against his cheek, “I won’t.”

“Noah!”

The scream was a shock to my system. Damian stood at the doors of the hospital, hand holding his forehead as though it might come apart if he didn’t.

“Noah—get the fuck in here. Now.”

I was mortified. Noah nearly had me fully on the trunk of the car, my gown torn and midsection exposed for the world to see. Two more seconds and I would have let him bury his fingers inside of me. Happily.

The thought of it only made me hotter.

Noah seemed just as shocked as I was. He scrambled to adjust himself. “Fuck—”

My mind was swimming. I couldn’t even meet Noah’s gaze anymore, let alone Damian’s. I stared at the pavement, my cheeks flamed with embarrassment.

“Hurry up,” Damian hissed.

I didn’t dare look up. I was frozen there, stupidly trying to adjust what little “clothing” I had left. I had never heard Damian speak in that tone before, and knowing I was the cause for such a reaction made me want to bury myself six feet underground and never return.

What he must think of me now, I thought bitterly. I can never look him or Noah’s mom in the eyes ever again.

“Hey,” Noah’s gravelly voice cut through my internal condemnation.

I closed my eyes tightly together. “I know, I know. That was so out of line. Please forgive me.”

The feeling of his thumb against my chin caused me to gasp as he guided my head upwards in his direction.

“There you are,” he whispered, eyes locking with mine. “Delane. Please hear me when I say this: There is nothing for me to forgive. I wanted to. I have wanted to kiss you for a long time.”

He leaned forward, lips brushing mine once again. But this time, the urgency was gone.

“Don’t let Damian get to you,” he said, his voice low. “He’s stressed. We all are. He’s just irritated. And he can get the fuck over it.”

I let out a nervous chuckle. “I don’t think he will ever see me the same.”

“Neither will I,” he murmured.
