“Congratulations,” Cora said, hugging her friend. “Three kids.”

“In four years.” She laughed as she nodded. “We’re crazy. I know.”

“No, it’s perfect,” she admitted, wondering suddenly if she would want three kids. She’d never really thought about having kids before. Actually, for most of her life, she’d convinced herself not to have them. Maybe it was because she’d grown up with two very selfish parents, one of them being completely unstable.

While they were shown up to their rooms, however, that was all she could think about. Kids. Her kids. Her and Max’s kids.

She was thankful that, after Max decided to join them, Sarah was able to add one more room for them.

She was happily surprised to see that Max’s room was directly next to hers. Missy’s room was down the hallway and around a corner. She was pretty sure that Sarah had planned it this way and was very thankful she had.

When she stepped into her room, she wondered how she was ever going to go back to the small dorm room she shared with Robin.

There was a king-sized bed that faced the private balcony, which looked out over the ocean. Her suitcase sat at the end of the bed, along with her small overnight bag.

Stepping out on the balcony, she smiled and took in a deep breath of fresh salt air.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” a deep voice said, causing her to jump slightly.

“Max,” she gasped, looking over to the balcony beside hers.

“I think someone knew we were together,” he pointed out and suddenly she realized the balconies were connected.

Smiling, she walked over and wrapped her arms around him. “This is perfect. How are we ever going to go back?”

He kissed her. “Kicking and screaming.”

“We have an hour before our massage.” She started to pull him back into her room, only to hear a knock at her door.

“Cora, let’s go hit the pool before our massage. Come on, Max.” They heard a knock on his door.

Max sighed. “Why did I think we’d have time alone with my sister as the third wheel?”

Cora chuckled. “She has to sleep some time.” She kissed him while Missy continued to knock on both their doors.

They spent an hour at the adults-only pool, sipping fruity drinks and champagne.

They had chosen the smaller pool since there was a large family with more than a dozen kids under the age of ten at the other one.

When it was almost time for their massage appointments, they all headed up to shower off.

The moment she stepped into her shower, Max called out to her.

“In here,” she said, opening the curtain. “Care to join me?” She wiggled her eyebrows and then felt her mouth water as he pulled off his swim trunks and joined her.

“Fast,” he said against her ear as he pinned her against the tile wall.

“Fast,” she agreed. She held on while he took what he wanted.

Closing her eyes, she wished more than anything that they could go on like this. That each day could be spent feeling him inside her, pleasing her.

When they both cried out in unison, she melted into his arms.

“I don’t need a massage now,” Max said against her ear. “There’s not a muscle left in my body that’s tense.”

She laughed. “I don’t care if I need one. I want one. Besides, it’s more than just a massage.” She turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. “They give you facials, mani-pedis, all while you enjoy champagne.”

“Okay, you’ve convinced me.” Max wrapped a towel around his hips.
