He gives me one last look, one of pure pain and anguish before he stalks out of the room and closes the door behind him.
I know he is hurting too, but God, it would have never happened if he were honest.
And once his scent and the last remnants of his memory are out of the door, that is when I let myself fall apart.
One last time.
Dominic Wolfe
Ibarely catch myself from falling to the ground when I leave Sienna shattered in that room.
I should have just told her everything the moment I got to know about it, but the intense need to protect her runs deeper in me than not upsetting her does.
What I didn’t know was that my most trusted person would go behind my back and destroy the only thing I have ever valued just to stroke their ego.
I went away for ten minutes to clear my head, and Myra took that time to destroy everything for me.
No matter how much I try, I cannot shake away the look of absolute betrayal on Sienna’s face from my mind.
When she said she’d hate me for what I did, fuck that made me go in absolute shock. It felt as if everything had been taken away from me.
I have never been so scared and hurt at the same time.
I should have thrown her out earlier. Then maybe this wouldn’t have ever happened.
I sit in the driver’s seat of my car, ignoring Roy’s confused look, and drive as fast as I can to Myra’s place.
Because I know she won’t be staying there anymore now.
I can’t even believe she would do this to me.
I can’t believe that the person I looked at as my little sister would do this to me.
It doesn’t take me long before I reach her place, knowing I broke every possible speed limit and traffic rule, but I am too far gone to think straight.
I knock on her door continually before she opens it with an annoyed look on her face.
“Wha—Dominic?” she asks, her face void of any resemblance of what just happened because of her
“What the fuck is your problem, Myra?”
I push inside her house, the one I bought for her when she turned twenty so that she had a safe and secure home in the city. Only for her to go and destroy my home.
“What did I do?”
I scoff, all empty and hollow. As if she doesn’t know.
“Why did you interfere in my life? Why did you tell Sienna what I was supposed to tell her? Who the fuck gave you that right?”
She flinches at my tone, taking a step back. Her eyes tear up slightly at the disheveled look on my face.
But she doesn’t have any idea of how I am feeling inside.
I feel broken, betrayed. I feel like I am living life on my last breath.
Moreover, I feel like I am going to die soon.
“Because I could see you losing yourself behind her,” she yells, her reality finally breaking lose. “Because I could see you losing interest in our dream for Wolfe Media. You were acting like a fool behind her, like you had never known love or affection—”
