My poison of the day: 2008’s cinematic masterpiece Surf’s Up. Greatest movie of all time. The soundtrack? Amazing. The production? Underrated. Penguin surfing mockumentary? Fucking phenomenal. Genius level story boarding honestly.
Just set that bad boy up on the screen, volume maxed, and I’m ready for this flight before having to ferry ride to the island. I am straight vibing at this point. How can I not be when I’m watching Chicken Joe steal the fucking show?
Wrong.
“His finger trails the length of my neck, between the valley of my breasts. As my breath hitches, he smirks down at me from his towering height. ‘What’s wrong, darling? Nervous?’ Yes, I think to myself. How can I not be nervous when he stares at me like I’m nothing but his next meal.”
As great as my movie is, this audio is way more interesting. Like for one, what kind of headphones are these people using for me to still hear it clearly, and two, is this porn? Like audio porn is a thing?
What the fuck is this and why is it so good?
“‘I’m not scared.’
“His chuckle is dark, rumbling through his chest. ‘I asked if you’re nervous, not if you’re scared. You should be though. I could hurt you so easily like this. So vulnerable. Helpless. It’s mouthwatering.’
“His head lowers, lips following the path made by his fingertips down my neck, stopping just below my ear. With a deep inhale, Silas groans. ‘You smell delicious, darling. Can I have a taste?’
“‘Yes…please,’ I whisper. There’s a pause. I almost think he’s going to back away. My only warning before he lunges is a snarl just as his teeth sink into the flesh of my throat. Our combined moans fill the air.”
My eyes widen as I sink deeper into my seat. My hand wraps around my bottle of water as “Holiday” by Green Day filters through my headphones. My mind is struggling to comprehend what I just heard. Who listens to this on a plane?
As I’m taking a drink of my water, I hear her. The airport girl.
What I would give to have a vampire take a bite out of me like that.
I choke. The water does not go down the right pipe.
What the fuck!?
I turn my head and there she is. Across the aisle in the other window seat and she’s staring. Again.
Why is she always staring at me like she doesn’t know if she should laugh or feel sorry for me?
She motions to my headphones and I hurriedly rip them off my head and smooth down my hair. I lean back and take a deep breath.
“Hey, you again.” Nice, Theo.
Jesus Christ, really?
“Uh, hey. You okay there?”
“Yeah, great. Perfect. Why wouldn’t I be? I’m amazing.” My grin is too wide. I can feel it.
Her perfectly arched brows furrow.
Okayy…
“I mean, you got choked. And you’re kind of looking like a wet rat right now.”
“What?” I look down and the whole front of my new tropical shirt is completely soaked. Water is dripping down my chin and the whole screen of my laptop looks like it was in the splash zone at Sea World.
“Oh. Yeah, you know, uh, just, testing out the shirt for the beach you know? Gotta make sure I’m not sinking in the waves or anything,” I force out a laugh, hurriedly wiping my screen. She’s still staring.
Sure. “Testing”.
“Miami is nice this time of year, but it’s usually crowded.”
“What?”
