I shouldn’t care about where she lived.
I shouldn’t even be here.
For most of the day, I’d considered whether seeing Ellie again was wise.
When she’d mentioned that she’d planned to watch The Proposal, because I’d inspired her, I shut down.
As much as I loved that film, it felt too close for comfort.
This wasn’t supposed to be an office romance.
It was only supposed to be sex.
But I was starting to worry that it was becoming more than that.
Which was one of the reasons I’d left the bedroom so abruptly when Ellie invited me to shower with her.
I knew that if I did, I’d want to pin her against the wall and have her all over again.
It wasn’t a lie when I’d said she was addictive.
Ellie was a drug I couldn’t seem to get enough of.
Which was why seeing her tonight was another bad decision.
But after trying and failing to get her out of my head all day, I’d reasoned that I was overthinking things.
We’d already spent time together today. A few more hours tonight wouldn’t make a difference.
Ellie stepped outside and Geoff exited the car to greet her before opening the passenger door.
Her sweet vanilla scent invaded my senses and I inhaled deeply.
God, she smelt good.
‘Hi.’ She slid onto the seat, hesitantly. After my abrupt departure this morning, she was clearly nervous. ‘Am I too casual? We’re just going to your place, right?’
‘No,’ I replied as Geoff closed the door and climbed into the driver’s seat. ‘We’re not going to my place and no you’re not too casual. You’re perfect.’
Fuck. That sounded cheesy as hell, but she was.
This woman could wear a paper bag and still look incredible.
Even when she was in those God-awful granny clothes, my dick got harder than with any of the women I normally dated who wore designer dresses.
Tonight, Ellie was wearing blue jeans which hugged her curves and a tight red top that accentuated her tits and instantly made me want to suck on those beautiful nipples which were currently straining against the fabric.
‘Thanks.’ She smiled. ‘Where are we going?’
‘It’s a surprise.’
It hadn’t been easy to organise because of the short notice, but once I’d got the idea in my head, I couldn’t let it go.
‘Oooh, exciting!’ She beamed. ‘After this morning, I thought you wanted to stop—’
‘I had things on my mind,’ I jumped in knowing exactly what she was going to say.
And she was right.
