“I missed you girl.” he says into my hair.
“I missed you too silly. Now put me down.” I said with a laugh.
Once I’m back on the ground, I looked up at him. Of course he looked like his normal self in a flannel and jeans. But, he looked more muscular than he did last year. I guess I wasn’t the only one who was in the gym.
Looking around at the newcomers, I wait for someone to introduce us or something. Willow was on her phone texting someone, and I was definitely going to ask about that later.
She looks up at me before grinning like a little devil.
I grinned back before turning back to Charlie.
He keeps looking down at me before realizing that my attention was elsewhere at the other guys.
“Oh shit, sorry.”
He points at the one with mocha colored skin and dark black hair. “This is Mason.”
He points at the other man with tan skin and pale blonde hair. “This is Ricky.”
I waved at them both.
“They work at my family’s ranch for the summer.” Charlie explains.
I nodded.
“Hi, I’m Raven.”
Mason stepped forward with a hand out.
“I figured. This man hasn’t shut up all summer about you coming down for the fair.”
My eyes flickered to the Charlie to watch as the blush spreads across his cheeks.
I place my hand in his.
“It’s certainly a pleasure.” he shakes our hands together. “I’m sure you get this a lot, but you look like a mystical fairy in the most enchanting way.”
“Thank you very much.” I say with a laugh.
Ricky steps forward next. “I second that.”
My cheeks flame with the attention and I thank him as well. I mean a girl can never get tired of a simple compliment.
“I have to take a phone call, don’t go on any rides until I get back please!” Willow tells me before walking away.
Huh, interesting.
“Well, Rave how have you been this past year? Any new plans or changes?” Charlie asks.
“Yeah, just going to college and working. You?”
“Yeah, same. Working at the ranch, you know.”
I nod my head at him, but my body goes tight.
Someone was watching me.
Like actively.
