When The Fair Goes Dark

As I walked, I couldn’t help but glance around to see if I caught sight of the guy from earlier.

Feeling disappointed, I decide to forget about it as we approach a ride that spins us around as we stand up.

Charlie walks up next to me and puts an arm around my shoulder.

“Hey Raven, are you excited for this ride?”

I didn’t know him well enough to have him touch me, but I also didn’t want to come across as being rude.

“Dick head. I told you to back it off.” Willow says as she reaches back and removes his hand from me.

Relief fills me at the thought of her actions, and I hoped we could be great friends.

He holds up his hands in defense as he smiles down at me.

“My bad Rave.” he says and walks a little farther up to stand next to the other guys.

Music filled the air as we stand in line for our turn and I see out of the corner of my eye, a guy approaching.

I turned my head to watch him walk up the stand where the workers were and notice he was wearing the same uniform.

He was tall from what I saw from the back.

He turned around, and I saw another handsome face.

He was classically handsome, with boyish features and a dazzling smile.

Are all the guys here traditionally attractive?

He starts talking to the other guy and girl that was accepting tickets from the next people that went in the ride.

I watch as the other two people leave the post and the new guy stands there collecting tickets.

The line moves up and we get stuck right in the front while the ones that got in, go on the ride.

“Sebastian!” Justin calls out and reaches over to grab the stranger in a “bro hug”.

“Justin.” Sebastian says as he hugs him back.

I get closer to the group as they all talk among each other and see the name tag on his shirt say Seb.

They must go to school together or something, because they all take turns talking to him and I just watch from afar, not trying to be creepy or that weird stand offish kind of person.

His smile definitely could charm a girl off her socks. His smile was pretty for sure.

“And who is this?” I hear.

I turn to look directly at Sebastian.

His eyes had a glint in them.

“Raven.” I reply.

He smiles at me. Very charming.

“Sebastian. But, you can call me Seb.” he says as he reaches forward, and grabs my hand.

To my surprise, he leans forward and places a soft kiss to the top of my hand.
