Belladonna’s Nightmare

I frowned. “Belladonna, you don’t need approval for that,” I said, confused.

“A Halloween one.”

Ah. Now permission made sense. “What are you imagining?” I asked cautiously.

“Decorations, costumes, themed food,” Belladonna answered. Half of us looked at her as if she’d lost the plot, the rest as if she’d been replaced with an evil clone.

“Dress up?” Rose queried uncertainly.

“I understand the majority had shitty childhoods, but not everyone did. Come on, some of you must remember dressing up and having fun,” Belladonna pushed.

“Maybe,” Cyber drawled. “But it wasn’t like it was on TV.”

“Trick-or-treating?” Heart mused.

“Yes, let’s go the whole hog,” Belladonna exclaimed, excited.

I shook my head. “Belladonna, there’s one problem.”

“What?” she snarled, upset that I was throwing a wrench in her plans.

“We don’t have a kid to take trick-or-treating,” I stated.

Belladonna glowered at me, acting as if I’d kicked her puppy.

“Can we borrow one?” Dagger replied, shrugging.

I turned to her incredulously. “Borrow a child?”

Sparrow snorted in amusement as Dagger nodded. “Yeah.”

“We can give it back once we’ve done with it.” Blade grinned as if that were perfectly normal.

Trust the twins to take this somewhere nobody else would go.

“Give it back?” I repeated. Was I in the Twilight Zone?

“Yup,” Blade said, helpfully nodding at her twin. Laughter rose around us as they both shrugged.

Belladonna thumped her fists on the table and stood up, pointing at me and Sparrow. Oh shit, she was about to start shit.

“We never got to celebrate Halloween, not properly, as we should have. I want a damn Halloween, hear me? We’ve stopped having fun for fun’s sake. I’m a founder, and I never throw my weight around this club, but I am now. The Royal Harlots MC is celebrating Halloween, and that’s it. Get behind me or else,” she threatened.

Silence fell.

“It means that much to you?” Sparrow asked gently as Belladonna speared her with a sharp glare. “Okay, it means that much.”

“Fine. We’ll have a Halloween party,” I gave in.

“You’re all gonna dress up,” Belladonna said, pointing at everyone.

Three quarters of us appeared appalled; only Nun looked gleeful. “In anything?”

“Yes, within reason. You can’t put Blue and Priest in their slave costumes, because they’ll be groped,” Belladonna ground out.

Nun scowled, and a dark look formed on her face.

I bit back a smile. Nun had ordered collars and leashes for her two men, and they came with a male thong and chest harnesses. Nun was overjoyed to show us how it all worked. Priest and Blue had just rolled their eyes. That was it. Yeah, they couldn’t wear that to a party.
