I barely had time to smile before he wrapped an arm around my waist and kissed me.
Right there in front of everyone. And I loved it.
When he pulled back, I grinned. “Nice win.”
“Thanks, baby.”
Christine made a gagging noise. “Oh my God. Can you guys not?”
Greyson looked at her. “No.”
I laughed.
Angela shook her head. “You two are disgusting.”
“Jealous?” I asked.
“Absolutely not.”
“Liar.”
Greyson chuckled and kissed my forehead. “Ready to get out of here?”
“Yeah, let’s grab some dinner.”
“Actually,” Angela said, stepping forward, “there’s been a change of plans.”
I frowned. “What change of plans?”
“Christine and I are going to dinner. Just the two of us.”
I glanced back and forth between their smiling faces. “You are?”
“Yep.” Christine nodded enthusiastically. “There’s this restaurant I’ve been wanting to try, and Angela said she’d take me.”
I narrowed my eyes. They looked far too innocent. “What are you two up to?”
“Nothing,” Christine said.
Angela nodded. “Absolutely nothing.”
I looked at Greyson. He was studying the ceiling with another expression of exaggerated innocence. Oh, for heaven’s sake. They were obviously all up to something.
“You’re all terrible liars,” I said, pointing to each of them in turn.
Greyson grinned. “Come on, Starlight. Let them have their fun.”
I sighed dramatically, deciding to play along. “Fine.”
Christine stepped forward and hugged me.
“Have fun tonight.”
There was something suspiciously enthusiastic about the way she said it.
I hugged her back. “You too, sweetie.”
Then she hugged Greyson.
