From the way Lucia had acted last night, Natalia didn’t think he had much chance of that happening.

“Then let’s hope she does,” she said, attempting to be positive.

His expression lightened at her encouragement. “You’re making me feel much better. I have an account on social media. I’m going to make a post supporting you. I don’t have many followers, but every bit helps, right?”

At this point, anything would help, she thought.

“I would appreciate it.” Removing her arm, she went back to her desk.

“Good.” Marco beamed. “I’ll do it on my break. I only have six hundred seventy-seven followers—”

Both of them jumped at the sound of her office door being flung open. Then Natalia groaned at the sight of her brother rushing into her office.

“What in the fuck did you get yourself into?”

Taking pity on Marco, who seemed about to piss himself or stand protectively in front of her, she let him off the hook. “You can go, Marco.”

Marco didn’t argue, giving Rocco a wide berth as he passed.

Rocco slammed the door shut after him.

“Calm down, Rocco.”

“Don’t tell me to calm down. Have you seen what’s being posted about you and the restaurant?” he snarled, walking angrily toward her desk.

“I’m trying not to,” she told him.

“What kind of answer is that?”

“The only one I have for now. I have someone working on fixing the situation.”

“Who?”

“The Last Riders.”

Her brother looked at her as if she were insane. “Tell me you’re joking.”

“I wish I were.”

CHAPTER 31

I’M STARING AT HER

“How much longer are we going to wait?” Digging a boot into the gravel, Puck shot him an impatient look.

“Until she gets here,” Wizard fired back. “If you’re tired of waiting, you can always go clean the refrigerator.”

“Never mind.”

Wizard would have bet his bike on that turnaround.

“Next time, don’t ask, or I won’t give you a choice.”

The only thing worse than cleaning the club’s restrooms was having to clean out the refrigerator. Because The Last Riders didn’t provide meals at this chapter, the brothers fended for themselves. Overloaded with leftovers, out-of-date food, and mysterious cartons of fruit growing mold, it would ruin the appetite of whomever pulled the duty for a solid two days, if not more.

Coming out of the club, Doom climbed onto the motorcycle next to his. “Any new information from Reaper?”

Puck had assumed they were waiting for Natalia and was unaware Doom had been in the office answering Reaper’s call.
