“I have a few names of the nastiest trolls. I sent two of the new recruits out to deal with them. If they can’t scare the shit out of them, they don’t need to be in The Last Riders, anyway. Also, Viper is going to send a couple of the brothers this way. He thinks it was a setup.”
“No shit.”
“Taylor filed for emergency protection for Burn’s kid. She’s probably behind it.”
“Maybe.” Wizard neither agreed nor disagreed. “Were you able to get any more information from the girls who snuck in last night?”
“No. When I took them outside, they all swore they did it on a dare. Their IDs were fake, and so were their addresses. Reaper found out their real names and addresses. I have Link, Terror, and Straitjacket watching them. So far, they’re staying close to home. They’ll catch them when they get tired of staying inside with Mommy and Daddy.”
“Dare, my ass,” he scoffed. “Those little fuckers were too organized. They were planted here to cause problems.”
“Which is why it was probably Taylor,” Doom said grimly. “She’s been a pain in the ass since day one. You think Reaper will be one of the brothers sent?”
“No. Ginny’s pregnant. Reaper won’t leave Treepoint.”
A pair of headlights turning into the parking lot had the men starting their bikes. Wizard saw Natalia getting out of her van and smiled when he noticed she had changed into a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt. He had sent her a text earlier, telling her to change into something warm and comfortable before coming to the club tonight.
Her haughty expression instantly hardened his cock. He much preferred the way she had looked when she was fucking him this morning.
“If you’re going somewhere, you should have called me. We can pass on tonight …” She turned to go back to her van but was stopped by Wizard’s voice.
“Get on behind me. We’re going for a ride.”
“I don’t—”
“I thought you might want to talk about what I found out today.”
She got on the back of his motorcycle without another word. She didn’t press against his back but slid her arms comfortably around his waist.
“Doom, get her a helmet.”
Hearing Wizard’s order, Puck handed Doom his extra helmet.
Taking the helmet from Doom, Wizard passed it back to Natalia.
“You set?” he asked, feeling her arms come back around his waist.
“Yes.”
Riding his bike in front of the other brothers, he pulled out onto the road.
The brothers rode in pairs. At least forty motorcycles followed him and Doom as they left the outskirts of the city.
The road became darker as they rode. Ten miles away from the club, he spotted the side road he was looking for. When he made the turn, he noticed Natalia’s arms didn’t grip him harder as she easily shifted her weight on the bike.
His lips tightened. She had ridden on a motorcycle before. He couldn’t care less whom she had fucked before him, but he did care whose back she had kept warm.
Taking a left, he came to a narrow, one-lane road that gradually grew steeper. Bright lights at the top of the mountain marked their destination.
Not many people knew about the private runway. Only pilots who paid to use the airport were allowed to land there.
At the top, a lone, compact, one-room metal building stood to the side of a parking lot. The hangar was detached from the building and housed private planes whose owners paid a hefty fee to keep them stored there.
Parking their motorcycles in a circle, the brothers pulled out cans of beer to pass around as they gathered in small groups. Natalia wasn’t the only woman along for the ride. Most of the club women had come, too.
Turning off his bike, he lowered the kickstand. Doom and Puck, who had parked next to him, moved toward a group of brothers, leaving them alone.
“You can get off if you want to.”
