Ethan Sullivan’s face was pale as he took the whiskey glass from his son’s hand and polished it off in one gulp.

Finally, he spoke. “I just got an email from a man who says he’s my older half brother.” He turned the paper around so his three sons could see the picture on it.

The man could have been Ethan’s twin, the resemblance was so distinct.

All four men looked at each other in the firelight, surprise written on all their faces. Of all the ways they’d thought the evening might end, none of them could have predicted that their father would hear from a sibling he’d known nothing about.
