It makes me sad that we have to hide like this, but hopefully it will only be for a short while. I want nothing more than to shout ‘he’s my guy, keep away’.

Chapter 9

GABE

Sitting down next to Bree, may not have been the best idea I’ve ever had, considering the glances I keep getting from Martha. But what the heck, Bree’s upset with how Ruby’s acting towards me and having her upset like this, is pissing me off. I’ve put up with Ruby coming on to me for years. You’d think after all this time, she’d get the hint, but no she hasn’t.

I’m holding onto Bree’s hand under the table, to try and silently offer whatever reassurance I can. She really is the whole world to me and seeing her upset really gets to me.

Martha keeps looking at us and once or twice I caught her looking at our arms. My guess is that she’s noticed my left and Bree’s right hands are missing from the table.

While I’m trying to think up an

excuse to get both me and Bree out of here, Ruby wraps herself around my other arm. “Gabe can take me.” Shit, take her were?

“Err; I think I’ve missed something. Take you were?” I ask, trying to claim my arm back.

“I’ve just been telling everyone about the dance in town in a couple of days.” Note to self - don’t day dream when Ruby’s in the room.

Thinking quickly, I say the first thing that pops in to my head, “I’m sorry Ruby, but I’ve promised to take someone else.” Shit. Seeing everyone look at me, Bree included. I don’t have a clue how I’m going to get out of this one. Staying silent, I squeeze Bree’s hand again and take a cookie from the plate in the centre of the table, hoping with my mouth full, no one will question me.

“Well Gabe, are you going to tell us who the lucky lady is?” Trust Aunt Maggie.

No idea what to say, I look around trying to come up with a name, but my mind’s blank.

“He’s taking Tracy from town.” Thank god for the woman I love.

She releases my hand and smoothes hers along my thigh, lifting it up onto the table to take a biscuit just as Ruby takes hold of my arm again. I realize the only way to make this easier on Bree, is to leave while they’re here.

As I stand, Bree looks up at me, “I’ve got some things to do, so I’m going to head out and will see you all again.” Grabbing my coat, I quickly start putting it on heading towards the kitchen door.

“I’ll come with you.” Fuck, this is so not happening.

“Ruby you need to stay here and catch up with Bree. Aunt Maggie, Paul I’ll see you soon.” I then glance at Bree, who winks at me as I dash out of the door before Ruby can follow me.

Walking back into my cabin it feels empty without Bree. I’d planned on making love to her all afternoon, but instead, I was tortured having to act as though there was nothing between us, while we said hello to family. I just really hope Ruby got the message and doesn’t show up here. Turning back to the door, I decide to lock it so I don’t get any unwanted visitors.

Throwing my coat over one of the stools at the breakfast bar, I open the fridge and retrieve a beer before collapsing on my comfy chair in front of the television. Resting my head back on the chair, I take a swig of beer and let out a sigh. That sure was a close escape.

My only problem now though is wondering how Bree is holding up with Ruby. For some reason, the two of them have never been able to get along. When we were kids Ruby used to pick on Bree something wicked. Poor Paul ended up in the middle of their arguments on more than one occasion. Laughing, I remember the time they actually let fists fly and Ruby ended up giving her brother a black eye when he tried to protect Bree.

Bree. She’s everything that I’ve ever wanted, not only does she have an amazing body, but she’s great just to talk to. She has such a bubbly, mischievous personality, that I find it so damn hard to let her go.

I still can’t believe she started to give me a blow job in the truck while I was driving. It was so hot; I very nearly exploded the minute she sucked me in.

Hell. I really need to stop thinking about her giving me head. My cock has risen and is trying to burst free. What the heck, the doors are locked. Putting my beer on the table, I unbutton and pull the zipper down having my cock burst free. Relief! Already starting to breathe heavy, I fist my cock and slowly move my hand up and down, which feels really good.

I push my jeans further down my legs; using my other hand, I massage my balls while still fisting my cock real slow. On the upward stroke, I rub my thumb over the leaking tip. Thinking about Bree in the truck with her hot little mouth on me has my fist speeding up; quickly pushing my t-shirt up, I ejaculate all over my stomach and hand. Christ. That didn’t last long.

Chapter 10

BREE

Lying in bed, I’m watching the snow fall heavy against my bedroom window, thinking about Gabe. I really wanted to sneak to his place last night, to spend the night with him. But he was right. I couldn’t spend the whole night, at least not yet. No matter how much we both wanted that.

Looking at the clock, it’s nine in the morning. With how bad the snow’s coming down, I don’t think anyone will be going anywhere today. Gabe and I decided to play it by ear today and see what everyone else is doing. We’d definitely get together later, no matter what. I’m actually planning to sneak over to Gabe’s cabin at some point, if he doesn’t show up by the time I’ve eaten breakfast.
