“Almost.” She said, holding his gaze, adjusting her hips as she slid her palm to his cock, and sunk down onto him. She closed her eyes and he suckled her neck, gave it a nip and then thrust into her.

“No one but you ever Annabella.” She held onto his shoulders and they made love in the shower.

He nipped at her skin, her shoulder, her neck and then toward her mouth kissing her. She ran her palms up over his shoulders then down over his chest and pinched his nipple. He lifted her a little higher, pressed her back against the shower wall and deepened his strokes and held her gaze. Neither looked away as they both came together. She hugged him tight, and he wrapped her in his arms, one hand under her ass and then other under her hair and neck.

She kissed his skin and then whispered to him. “I love you Ivan. I just want you to know that. I love you.”

Ivan held Annabella in his arms last night and couldn’t get himself to admit to her, to tell her he loved her too. He was hardened inside. Felt as if he didn’t have a heart, or the means or ways of loving another person. When his family died, that part of him died too. Things only got worse as he killed, destroyed operations, put the fear of God in people in order to survive and to be where he was today. He showed no weakness ever. That was changing when it came to Annabella and Annabella only.

Those who were close to him knew it. Dante, Commerce, Roman, Mirnon, they all sensed it and knew it made Ivan uneasy and snappy. Perhaps there was the fear that this wasn’t real. That it was too good, too perfect to be true, to last, to be successful. Or maybe he couldn’t give more then what he was giving right now. Possessiveness, ownership, and emotions he could control and not allow to infiltrate too deeply and reach his heart.

He looked at her now, as she spoke to Dante about some new restaurant in Rockland. She was dressed in a very sexy, slim fitting black dress that accentuated her curves and hit her thighs right above her knees. There was a slight slit in the back, and with her matching high heels her calves were accentuated and her thighs looked toned and sexy. She told him she wore it for him so that when he was finished with the gala event tonight he would meet her at Gable’s and bring her back here to make love again.

He was dressed in a tuxedo and as she laughed at something Roman said their eyes went to him and she turned to look too. He felt it in his gut and chest as she eyed him and smiled.

“Wow.” She said to him. He held her gaze, looked her over with appreciation.

“Come here.” He ordered, firmly, his heart racing, his mind traveling in a thousand directions. She moved towards him immediately, and he slid his arm around her waist and drew her up against his chest. He moved his hand over her ass and squeezed it. “You better behave tonight. I won’t be too long. Now kiss me.” He said and she tilted up and he had to lower slightly to reach her lips. She pressed her palms against his chest, he squeezed her and then trailed his mouth along her jaw to her neck.

“The car is ready. Roman and Denver will be with you at Gable’s.” he said and she stepped back, fixed her dress and then looked at him.

“You behave as well, Mr. Sokolov.” She teased, as she touched the bow tie, then ran her feminine palm down his chest. He heard the others chuckle and then she winked at him and then reached for her bag. As she headed out of the penthouse with Roman and Denver, he felt that tightness in his chest again. That feeling of not liking her out of his sight, and fear that was growing stronger, the closer he got to Annabella.

“Everything okay?” Dante asked. He nodded his head and fixed his cuff links.

“Let’s hope for a successful night across the board. I’ll be in a better state of mind once I get this meeting over with Lanka, so he understands our position and control level with the new contract. Then hopefully Commerce and the team have a smooth night watching over Marcollies this evening.”

“The team is in position. Commerce and his friends are very resourceful and the clientele list is building up quickly. Although Commerce thinks it’s because of his good looks.” Dante said and Ivan shook his head.

“He’s a character that’s for sure. Let’s go.”

Commerce spoke into his mic. “Got eyes on those two men standing near the banquet table to the left of Marcollies?” He asked Malloy and Cole. Credence, Falcon and Striker were near the merchandise tables.

“Got them. Cab heard the conversation. All is good.” Cole said. Commerce scanned the area, noticing Mirnon and Rogan standing by a private room. He knew that Ivan was in there talking to Lanka Volchek and securing some sort of deal. He didn’t like the looks of the men standing there for Lanka or the way the one guy kept looking at his watch and then at his phone. Something was up with him.

He made sure they took this security gig seriously, as he sensed Ivan was on edge and Dante confirmed it with a nod of his head.

When the doors to the private room opened and all the men came out looking straight faced, but shaking hands, his concern for Ivan eased up a bit. There were people all over the place, and the crowds made it difficult to do their jobs, now he felt uneasy too. Lanka and his entourage dispersed and Ivan, Mirnon and Dante stood talking to one another. Commerce scanned the area again, noticing Marcollies talking to two women, both were touching his chest and he was smirking. Out of the corner of his eyes he saw movement, glanced that way and the doorway swung closed. He missed seeing someone walk into that room. He cleared his head and kept watch, his gut twitching, indicating something was up.

He lifted his wrist mic to his mouth. “Stay alert.”

“Was it me or did they seem smug in there?” Dante asked Ivan. “They were smug, and that’s why I decided to hold off on signing the papers until the details of the contract are looked over by me. I was also wondering about that comment about Cassandra. I didn’t think she knew Myran Shaw.”

“Knowing that bitch, she’s probably screwing them.” Dante said.

Ivan frowned

“What’s the problem cousin?” Dante asked. Rogan walked over looking serious.

“Ivan, we’ve got a problem.”

“What problem?” He asked.
