Rana: Where’s my protein shake?

“What the heck?” she said as she typed back a response.

Nami: What the heck are you doing?

As if the program was set to stop sending messages after she responds, no new repeat messages showed up.

Rana: You were supposed to bring me my protein shake.

Nami: Who said so?

She was annoyed and pissed, and it didn’t take him long to get her there.

Rana: Part of the deal and you brought it yesterday. Now it’s part of it.

Nami: Buzz off! I don’t care.

Rana: Really? You don’t care that I have your video?

Nami knew not to push too far. Not when he held that friggin’ video over her head.

Nami: Fine. I’ll bring it tomorrow.

Rana: No. Now. Today. Same spot. It’s a tradition now, sweetness.

“Effing asshole,” she cried out to rid her frustration. That meant she had to leave in a few minutes to pick up the shake and drop it off. For the next few minutes, she moved like the wind. She had no time to blow dry her hair and put in some time to make herself presentable.

This guy was going to be her ruin if she didn’t get him out of her life soon.

Nami felt like a Tasmanian devil moving through the campus with everything she needed for her presentation, including the charts. She had to pick up his drink and drop it off before she made it to her classes.

She made her way into the sports center and speed walked to the boxing arena. She went straight to his locker and placed the drink there. He was nowhere in sight, and she wasn’t going to waste time looking for him. She was on her phone typing him a message that she left the drink in his locker when she felt his presence.

As if her senses were on high alert for him, her heart started to thud before her back stiffened when she realized he was behind her. He was not close but knew he had to be looking at her. For a few more moments, she stood still, pretending to be typing the message, and he didn’t move.

Why was he watching her? Maybe to see if she would make another attempt to swipe his phone?

Uninterested in facing him, she hit send on the message for him and heard the ding from his phone inside his locker.

Crap! Could she have at least attempted to do something with his phone? Not worth the risk.

She started to walk away, knowing very well he was looking at her, and a moment later, she heard him chuckle. “That’s not how you do it, Varma.”

She turned, furious at him. “Now what?” Her mouth went dry, and her annoyance evaporated. Something else took over when she saw him in the white towel wrapped around his waist. His well- built torso was on display with beads of moisture from the shower nesting on his tanned skin.

Why the heck did he have to look and be so hot?

His hair was damp from the shower as he opened the locker and took the drink out. “I hope you didn’t meddle with my phone.”

“Like I said, I don’t need to get to the video. I will make you give it to me fair and square.”

His brow furrowed. “Such an unexpected trait from the Varma clan.”

She grit her teeth and bit back a curse. “What do you want?”

He walked over to where she stood and held out the shake to her. “You know the drill.”

“What?” She was shocked he was expecting her to sip the drink in front of him before he does. “I just don’t believe this.”
