“Let’s seal the deal…” Neal prompts licking his lower lip. I blush, and Neal nudges me playfully until I start to giggle.

He kisses me then.

And it’s not just a quick taste.

Parker and Ross feign interest in the draft plans on the table before heading downstairs to inspect the walls and layout. Basically, they’re tactful enough to leave us alone.

And I want to be on my own with Neal for the next part. Because it’s going to get a bit personal.

As our kiss ends, he splays his hand on my thigh above my knee, massaging the skin sensuously. “So, come on, sign it.” His teasing tone disappears as we get back to the business at hand.

“Nope.” I shake my head resolutely. “I’m not done. Not yet.”

“No?” he says, his brows lifting .

“There’s one more thing... and it’s kind of abigthing.”

He folds his arms. “Right. What is it?”

“I’m not signing this contract.”

“Why the hell not? Haven’t I given you what you want?”

I can’t help but want him to grovel… just a little bit.

“Oh, it’s a great offer, all right.”

He stares at me. “But it’s not enough for you?”

“It’s not reasonable.”

“What does that mean—not reasonable?”

He runs his fingers through his hair and it sticks up everywhere. I want to weave my own fingers into it but I keep my hands still.

“It’s not what I want, Neal.”

“What do you want? Name it and I’ll do it.” His expression is so serious now, and I’m having a hard time keeping the smile off my face.

I swallow my nervous laughter. “Anything?”

“Anything.”

“Okay then…here’s the deal…” I hang it out for some more tension. “After thinking long and hard about it—” I pick up his hand and stare at it, bursting to laugh.

“Yeah?” he whispers.

I lift my gaze and look into his eyes, breaking into a grin.

“I’d rather sell.”

He snorts a laugh and blinks slowly. “You fuckingwhat?”

“I’m selling Bouquets to you.”

“This beggars belief!”

“Exactly! I can’t expect you to build around my little shop here. If I’m going to be in the mall, I want to be rightin it.And that means in a brand-new glitzy shop. Not tucked by the side entrance like a cold sore on a supermodel’s lip.”
