He was just about to call back when David called inviting him to come out and join them for drinks. “I’ll be right over.” Unlike someone he knew, he didn’t have any plans for the evening. He showered, changed into some party clothing and left the condo.

A guy made a move on Chance ten minutes inside the club.

“Hi, I’m Adan,” the cute, dark-haired fellow said. “Would you like to dance?”

Chance slid out of his seat. “Sure.” Adan was just a little shorter than him, thinner, with sexy hazel eyes. He was also good on the dance floor and knew how to work his hips to get Chance’s attention. “My name is Chance,” he finally said by the time the next song played. This one was a slow one and Adan let him lead.

“What do you do, Chance?”

“I’m a photojournalist for a baby magazine. What about you?”

“I’m a dietician,” Adan answered.

He had a cute face, a tight body, and a job. Chance was impressed. “Are you dating anyone?”

Adan shook his head. “My dance card is open.”

He had a little lopsided smile.Cute.“Did you come alone or are you with friends?”

“My posse’s over there,” Adan said pointing. “What about you?”

Chance pointed. “I left my posse at the table.”

“Ooh, they look like a bunch of professional guys. I like that.”

“Why?”

“Because it means you have your own places.” He chuckled. “I hate mama’s boys.”

Chance smirked. His mother wouldn’t like Adan. He wasn’t the type of guy meant to be brought home to meet the family. Adan gave him a business card after their dancing ended.

Chance stuck it in his jacket pocket.

“Call me if you’re interested in getting together.” He waved to Chance and then both went their separate ways.

“He is so cute,” Adam said once Chance sat down.

Someone had ordered him a bottle of beer. He opened it and sipped.

“You can totally hit that,” Adam continued.

Chance nodded and continued sipping his beer. It had been a long time since he’d had sex. Adan was his type: young, hot, and willing to spend the night with him.

“How’s Derek?” David asked.

David had a way of bringing Chance back down to earth. He was like a manly dose of reality.

“He’s busy,” Chance answered.

“On the job?”

Chance shook his head. “No, a parenting class. He’s taking infant CPR tonight.”

“He does have responsibilities,” David said. “I’m glad he puts his nephew before anything else.”

Nash picked up his drink. “I think you should forget about that one, especially since that hottie you were just dancing with is available and interested.”
