“He’s got a healthy social life,” Derek answered.
“You mean he likes to party with his friends.”
“Yes.”
“And you’re looking for someone a little more responsible and mature.”
“Yes,” Derek answered again.
“Maybe you can get him to change and settle down,” Mitch said.
“I’m afraid he might hold that against me later.”
“I always thought being a billionaire would make you happy,” Mitch said. Basically, you can have any guy in the world if you wanted to.”
“That’s not the way it works,” Derek said. “What good is being with a guy just because he knows I can do things for him? Sometimes I wish I was just an average Joe.”
“Your Prince Charming is out there,” Mitch said as he drove. “He just doesn’t know it yet.”
Derek settled down to a project he’d been working on for a couple of evenings now. His cell phone jingled sometime around ten that night. Derek picked it up.
Chance had texted him.How did your class go?
Derek:It was interesting and the women were very helpful. Especially one named Adell. She has an eight-month-old who would be a perfect playmate for Jaden.
Chance:Do they know you like guys?
Derek:No
Chance:I didn’t think so.
Derek:Smart ass
Chance came back with a LOL and a smiley face emoji.
Chance:Get a good night’s sleep. I’ll call you tomorrow.
Derek:Okay.
Derek smiled; Chance was still interested.
