Jenna tipped her head. “Well, in this case, you may be safe. You’re with Ethan, who is Mr. Live In The Moment Guy. In fact, he’s theKingof Live In The Moment guys. I’m a planner, I mean, hell, I’m aprofessionalplanner, so the way he lives his life literally gives me anxiety, but it works for him. So why not give it a try and follow his lead? Just live in this moment, right now, with Ethan. He’s more than capable of keeping things casual. In fact, casual is his only speed, so you’re safe from this turning into something more. So, just do it! Go kiss him already!”

“Yes! You should do it!” Tami lifted her glass.

Everyone followed suit, and I slunk a little lower in my seat. “I don’t know.”

“You only live once, Ivy. And I think you should jump off this cliff with Ethan. Why the hell not?”

You only live once.

Those words, the new ones that had invaded my mind since meeting Ethan and the terror of feeling like our plane could crash, started rolling around on repeat in there. Maybe I could get a little wild and try a casual fling with Ethan. Lord knows my body was on board because it practically vibrated every time he got near me. The only thing left to get on board was my head and damned if the cheers from the girls at the booth with me weren’t starting to get my brain imagining a once-in-a-lifetime fling with the hottest guy I’d ever encountered.

“We’ll see,” I finally said, and when they screamed their approval, heat flushed to my cheeks.

“Well, then let’s get this party moving closer to the boys so we can get Ivy and Ethan together tonight.” Tami stood up. “Let’s roll, hotties!”

Everyone jumped up and hurried after her, and I tried not to panic, thinking about colliding with Ethan later in the night ... in more ways than one.
