“Okay, okay, fine,” she grumbled.

“I'm also going to have the landscapers lay in some flagstone to make a real walking path from the main house to the guesthouse. And we need to check the appliances to make sure they still work properly.”

“All right.” When he didn't say anything else, Georgiana’s eyebrows rose. “So…is that it? As soon as all that stuff is done, I can move out there?”

“Yes, but notuntilall that stuff is done. If you're going to be out there alone, I need to know you're safe.”

Her expression softened. “I know. I will be.”

He sighed. “I'll make some calls tomorrow morning to get the ball rolling.”
