Before Lexi had a chance to respond, Niki and Gianna somehow pushed her up to standing.

“What the—” Lexi said, and I had to stop myself from laughing.

“Oh, good,” Jillian stepped beside us, “here’s the jar,” she plunked it into Lexi’s hand. “Follow the directions on the side. Go wash your faces first, though.” She pointed toward the bathroom.

“Fine,” Lexi huffed out loud dramatically as if she were being asked to walk a plank.

After Lexi turned and started walking, Jillian smiled widely.

For some reason.

I tilted my head in question and gave her a look. All Jillian did was push my arm. “Go wash your face. You guys are wasting time.” Her voice rose loud enough for everyone to hear.

There were a few low conversations happening around us as we strode by. But, I was probably being paranoid to think they were talking about us.

Right?

Anyway, I followed Lexi into the bathroom. And yes, I did allow my eyes to watch her perfect, tight ass sway while she moved.

Christ.

I missed that ass.

I’d been so focused on it, that I ended up crashing into her when she came to a stop.

“Oof,” she said after my body pushed hers forward. Lexi began to soar, but my hands caught her just in time.

I pulled her tightly to my body. “Shit, are you okay?” I asked and felt my heart pump erratically inside my chest. I held her back to my front, and Christ, but I loved how she felt against me.

I bent my head down and took in a deep breath. The scent of coconut filled my senses, making me want to taste her in whatever form she’d let me. “Fuck, you smell so good.”

She let out a cute, shocked little gasp. My arms squeezed her and I sniffed again.

“What are you doing?” she said in a barely there voice that turned me right the hell on.

“Holding my wife,” I groaned, hugging her in my grateful arms.

She allowed this for a moment. And I swear—I swear the way her body melted into mine, she was about to turn around and kiss me.

I could feel it.

Instead, she pushed against my hold. “Let me go, you big buffoon!” Lexi yelled and struggled in my arms.

I let her go and said, “I didn’t mean to crash into you.”

She scowled and shook herself off. “Watch where you’re going, why don’t you?”

“I said I was sorry. What else do you want me to do? Get a skywriter?” God, if there was one person in the world who could take me from feeling all the love and caring to then feeling all the hate and annoyance—it was definitely Lexi Hunter.

“Wash your face and let’s get this over with,” she grumbled and moved away from the sink. Lexi pulled a smaller towel off the rack and leaned against the counter.

My eyes might have lingered on her thighs a bit longer than they should have. But, oh, Christ, what I wouldn’t do to be able to pick her up, set her down on the vanity top, and—

“Would you stop staring at my ass and get a move on?” she snapped at me.

My gaze found hers. “I wasn’t staring at your ass that time. I was staring at your delicious thighs.” I felt the wicked smile spread across my face before I even knew I was smiling.

Lexi shifted her weight from one foot to the other, and my eyes watched the muscles in her thighs tense up.
