Enzo frowns. “We can do it in shifts."

"I think you'll be needed for our omegas. I'm hoping to convince Aurora to sleep in Oliver’s nest with the rest of you tonight. The nest is the most secure place in the house with no windows and only one entrance up those steps." I huff as I rub my hands over the lock on the backdoor, but there’s no sign of picking or tampering.

"Good idea. I'll keep my phone on me though, so if you start feeling it, just call me and I'll spell you."

At the moment, I can't imagine ever being tired again, riled up and pissed off.

Enzo suddenly halts. “Shit."

I stare at him, worry banging in my chest. “What? What?"

"What if they're still there? In her room? We just left them!"

My eyes widen. “Fuck.”

Chapter Forty-Five

Aurora

#

GREY SHOVES OLIVER and I behind him when racing footsteps head our way, only relaxing when Callan and Enzo sprint towards us. "What's wrong?"

Callan waves us out of the way. “We need to clear that room. Make sure the threat isn't still fucking here."

Enzo growls, right on the alpha’s heels. “I hope it is. Then we can kill it."

I don't typically like violence, but this has me so freaked out, I think it would turn me on if they murder whoever it is who is pulling this shit. Is my hacker behind this threat too? What are the odds I've got two sudden enemies?

Though I suppose the info the hacker released could've triggered this. That fucker. They're the ones I want dead. Because of them, things have gone completely to shit. It's their fault my mother's here, it's their fault I'm in trouble with the OCP. It's probably their fault I have a creepy stalker now too.

Enzo sighs once he and Callan finish clearing my room. ”Nothing here. Their scent coats the room though. Bathroom too."

My nose wrinkles and I shudder. “Gross."

"We'll air it out and fix it, darling,” Callan promises.
