Trix growls. “Shut your fucking mouth. She fights every day for rights for omegas, so that one day you don't have to put up with bullshit from alphas while you sell out your fellow omegas for a little bruise."

The omega curls in on herself even further. “I’m sorry."

I wave Trix off, focusing on the omega. “Just tell us if he said anything that might help us find Rose."

“He just asked a bunch of questions about you and Rose and where you were staying and the pack. I don't know. He mostly just ranted about omegas and you in particular. He said a bunch of shit about how he and Rose were meant to be and you were trying to steal her." She sniffs. "Oh, and he said he was going to prove to her that they’re meant to be. That roses are the thing that brings them together or some wacky shit like that."

"I think I might know where he took her." Callan says from behind us.

Tris and I jerk our attention to him, hope starting to well.

"Where?" Trix asks.

He sighs. “The goddam rose garden."

Chapter Fifty-Three

Aurora

#

QUITE A FEW OF THE omegas who were watching the drama in the hallway follow us as we stampede down the steps, and back outside. I hadn't even considered the rose garden. I'd forgotten all about it, but it was on the map we'd been given when we arrived. I kept meaning to go check it out too, but never got around to it.

I'm so glad I asked Callan to come along.

Callan slides his phone back into his pocket. “I messaged the rest of the pack. They're going to meet us there."

"You didn't call the police?" I ask.

He shakes his head. “No. You all deserve to handle the prick however you wish to. He's certainly earned it."

I chuckle, trying not to cry. “Busy day, huh?"

He chuckles too. “Of taking down your enemies? Yes."

I sigh. “I’m always going to have enemies."
