Oliver smiles at her. “We truly want to thank you both for what you did to help Enzo. Losing him would have torn us apart, so we are so grateful. If you ever need anything, please let us know."

Trix waves him off. “You don't owe me shit. I got to rough up some alphaholes, so I had a great time. Besides, I wouldn't have done a thing if Rory hadn't gone racing over there and attacked them."

"Have you had training? In self-defense?" Grey asks Aurora.

She nods. “Yes. Not as much as I'd like, but as soon as I left for college, I started taking classes."

Does that mean her mother wouldn't allow it before she left? I have so many questions, so many things I want to know about this omega. I'm thrilled she's going to be here, day in and day out, in our space, giving me the chance to get to know her. She's a fascinating woman from the little I've learned about her so far.

Brave, determined, brilliant, skeptical, loyal, angry.

I can't wait to find out what else.

Aurora seems to be done with dinner, her plate mostly clean, her silverware resting next to it.

"I can drive you back to your rooms so you can pick up your stuff whenever you're ready,” I offer. “If we go now, we can come back for dessert."

She leans back and nods. “That works for me. Dinner was too delicious for me to have any more room for dessert yet anyway."

"Can you drop the two of us off? We'll let you guys get settled and get to know each other without us underfoot." Rose glances at Aurora. "Is that okay?"

Aurora pauses for a moment before answering. “Sure. Yeah. It gives the two of you a chance to reconnect as well."

Apparently, Aurora has a touch of matchmaking in her. It's interesting that she's pushing her ex-lover towards her best friend. It shows a lack of jealousy and possession. Unusual for an omega. At least what our society informs us omegas are like.

Oliver isn't very possessive or jealous either. It's why he so generously offered his nest to Aurora. And Rose doesn't seem to suffer from it either, seemingly having no issues with the light flirting and reminiscing Aurora and Trix engage in.

They're all a wonderful fit with us. I'm half tempted to offer them a place in our pack as well, if they're interested, but that's definitely getting ahead of ourselves. Better to take things day by day. We have over two months before their time is up here. Plenty of time to get to know them and see how we all fit together.

"We'd be happy to pack up some dessert for the two of you as well," Grey offers.

Rose grins. “We certainly won't turn that down."

"Excellent. I'll go plate it up." Grey heads towards the kitchen.

We exchange a few rounds of pleasantries before I escort the three women out to our garage to the pack's SUV we share. The town is small enough, we all mostly walk everywhere, so this vehicle doesn’t get much use.

No one says much of anything as I drive us back to the omega housing. Seeing Aurora's door clear of paint and hate makes me feel a little better, though the traces still remain through scent. I'm glad to get her out of here.

When I see the few bags she has packed, I raise a brow. She’s hardly bringing anything.

She laughs. "We really didn't need to bring your car for this."

"What about your nest? Did you not want to bring that with you?" I gesture towards the blanket fort.

"I got everything that's mine, but the rest of it was provided for me. I left it up in case I need to come back."

I plan to do whatever it takes to make sure she doesn’t need to return here.

“We have plenty of nesting materials at the house."

And I can’t wait until her scent is soaked into them.

Aurora chuckles. “I assumed."

"You don't travel with much." I can’t see anything that might be hers scattered around the loft.

She shrugs. “It's too difficult to have a lot when you move every few months. I learned to live lean a long time ago. As long as I have my work, I'm happy."
