I can see Leo shouting orders, but I can’t seem to hear him.
Fortunately, Max is thinking straight.
We pull into the garage about five minutes later. It’s deserted, except for Cam lying facedown in the middle of the lot.
As we all jump out, Leo reaches Cam first. As he turns her, I can see the shallow rise and fall of her chest.
I pull out my phone and call Jake. “Ambulance! NOW, Jake, to the lot. Cam’s been fucking shot.”
I fall to the ground next to Leo and take her from his arms. I need her in my arms right fucking now.
They shot her, my pregnant… my pregnant what? What is she to me? I have no idea because we haven’t had a chance to talk about it.
“I’m going to fucking kill all those cunts,” Maximus barks. “How dare they attack our women,” he rants.
Yeah, that make’s sense, they’ve shot my woman and have taken Leo and Max’s.
I feel like I’ve barely blinked before an ambulance is pulling into the lot. The EMTs get the gurney out, and I pick Cam up and place her on it. I brush her pink blood-stained hair from her face. Even unconscious and with the knock to her face, she’s the most fucking beautiful women I’ve ever seen.Angelosuits her perfectly. I help them get her into the ambulance. As I’m about to step in after her, I feel a firm squeeze on my shoulder.
“You can’t go with her, Alessandro, there’s nothing you can do. Let them work on her and help us get Bea and Antonella back.” Leo’s voice can only be described as hushed.
“She’s carrying my child, Leo,” I hiss.
Max looks dumbstruck at hearing my answer.
“She’s pregnant, please look after her. She will get the best care possible. You hear me?” Leo barks at the EMT.
She nods her head and rounds the ambulance to get in the cab.
Leo is still squeezing my shoulder. “I wouldn’t ask you to stay if I thought your presence would help.” He nods his head toward his car in a silent order.
