He was also beginning to put on some weight, and we all had Justin to thank for that.

“Graceee!” Justin shouted in my ear, making me cringe.

“Hey baby boy,” Grace laughed. “I wondered when you’d notice me.”

Justin reached out for her. Grace didn’t hesitate in taking him for a cuddle. She smothered him with kisses. “I’ve missed you, tiger.”

“Hey!” the three of us said in unison.

Grace smiled. “Leave him be. He likes what he likes. Don’t you, baby.” She blew a raspberry on his neck, and Justin giggled.

I caught Kyran watching Grace with a strange look on his face, pained. I wanted to slap him silly but refrained with a kid in view.

“Get settled in the guest cabin,” I said to the alphas instead. “It’s kitted out with supplies. Frank and Emily would have made sure of it. I’ll come over later when the girls are out.”

“Yeah,” Grace said, pausing from playing with Justin. “We’re going out to get drunk.”

“Junk, junk!” Justin clapped.

“Not you, buddy.” She rubbed her nose against his tiny one. “You’re on the juice. The fruity kind.”

“Ju-ju!”

“Great.” Harrison rolled his eyes, smiling. “Now he wants juice.”

“I’ll go get him some,” Grace replied. “Can I take him to go see Mom and Dad?”

“Sure. I’ll come fetch him later.”

“I’ll drop him off. It’s close enough to town. I can meet Savannah at your cabin, and we can go into town together.”

“Sounds like a plan.” Savannah looked at me in appeal. “If you don’t mind dropping me off?”

“Sure.”

“Where are you going?” Kyran demanded, watching Grace.

“Just The Red Riding Hood again,” Grace replied. “Last time we went there, you guys interrupted us so we need to make up for it.” She kissed Justin’s cheek. “Come on, little guy. I’ll take you to see Aunt Joan and Uncle Phil. Get you some juice.” She looked at my woman. “Savannah?”

“Sure. I’ll walk back to the diner with you. I need to hear more about these tigers.”

“Behave, you,” I reprimanded, leaning in for a kiss. I loved how I could claim her in such a way in front of my wolfkin. “I’ll be right behind you. But, before you go, Harrison Blaric, this is the gorgeous Savannah Cayden. Savannah, this is Harrison Blaric of the Midnight Grove pack.”

“Pleased to meet you,” she said, holding out her hand.

He took it with a strained smile, trying to be polite when he struggled to interact with those who didn’t know him well.

“Come on, Savannah,” Grace encouraged. “Let’s go get this gorgeous little man his juice. And maybe an ice pop.”

“Ice pop, ice pop, ice pop!” Justin cheered. Harrison shook his head.

“You’d think I don’t treat the kid.”

“And you know him,” Grace replied. “He’s going to blackmail everyone into giving him treats. I’ll keep an eye on the stash.”

“You do that. The last time he overdosed on sugar he didn’t go to sleep until three a.m.”

She nuzzled the boy’s cheek. “Plenty of us to watch over him. Take a break, Harrison. Come on, Justin. Let’s go to the diner.”
